Do you also deliver to Italy ?
If not, is there a store in Italy that keeps the slices ?

Thank you very much for your question. Migros has branches only in Switzerland. For Migros fans in Europe we have this online shop: https://www.migros-shop.de/ (currently only available in German). In this online shop you will find a non-full offer of our mythical products. Best regards, Your M-Infoline Team

I live in rome italy would like to know how to place an order

Hi lmocci30, thank you for your question. On Migros-Shop.de you will find a selection of Migros products that we also ship abroad. Unfortunately, rusks (Zwieback) are not among these items. If you still wanted to take a look, here is the site: https://www.migros-shop.de/. Best regards to Rome, your M-Infoline team.

We received a notification in the post today. Does this apply to all rusks until 17.07.2019? We have some that are valid until 07.07.2019

Hello Frossards, thank you for your inquiry. Only rusks with a best-before date of 17.7.2019 are affected by the recall. Rusks with other best-before dates, including 7.7.2019, can be consumed without hesitation. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

My question from yesterday (change recipe ?) I complete it with the data you requested: L 1526 - expiration 20.10.18 L 1529 - expiration 21.10.18 L 1534 - expiration 02.12.18 kind regards. franca

Thank you for providing the requested data. Meanwhile, we have checked the comparison samples of the same production series. However, we did not find any quality differences. We trust in your understanding. In order to further investigate the matter we need the biscuit slice that is the subject of the complaint to examine it. Therefore, please send it to the following address or deliver it free of charge to the Customer Service Department of your branch: Federation of Migros Cooperatives, M-Infoline / 20180713-0906, Limmatstrasse 152, 8031 Zurich. In either case, it is very important that your reference number 20180713-0906 and our address appear on the package. Best regards, Your M-Infoline Team

Hello The rusk is great. We eat it again and again. It says "with Swiss flour" on the front of the packaging. Does that mean that the rusk is only made from Swiss flour or does it also contain Swiss flour? If it only contains Swiss flour, I would write "made from Swiss flour".

. Hi fere1160, I'm glad you like the Zwieback Original! It contains approx. 80% Swiss flour. As the availability and quality of Swiss raw materials varies depending on the harvest, foreign flour is added to maintain the rusk's familiar structure and taste. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

It's a shame that packaging waste has also increased here with the four-packs. A new trend at Migros that will hopefully die down soon....

. Hi Konsverativ, thank you for your post here on Migipedia. Our rusks have long been provided with 4 inner bags instead of 2. This makes the product suitable for small households that tend to eat less rusk. Once opened, the product should be consumed quickly; the additional bags keep the product fresh for longer. The practical size of the individual pouches also makes them more suitable for on the go. The amount of additional film is minimal. Migros pays great attention to the packaging of its products and environmental protection plays an important role in its choice. However, there are a few other aspects to consider. For example, packaging must protect a product optimally against damage and spoilage. A packaging mission statement (motto: Avoid - Reduce - Recycle) has laid the foundation for the development of ecological packaging since 2009. Migros continuously sets itself goals to optimize packaging ecologically. The reduction in environmental impact is verified by means of a life cycle assessment. These balances take into account the entire life cycle, from raw material extraction to disposal. The effects on the environment are examined, such as the impact of CO2 on the climate or ozone depletion. You can find more information on sustainability efforts at www.migros.ch/generation-m/de.html. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Sorry, but since the new "recipe" (with Swiss flour? and before?)....the zwieback are no longer the same, especially in the texture which is now harder and brittle...I'm 72 years old so I'm a fan from the beginning, and now it's over. I don't see why Swiss flour makes zwieback any different...I need someone to explain it to me! Now I've turned to HUG zwiebacks, which are much better. ..... You don't mess with a legendary product like that! The new package is good, but I think the price must have gone up.....since the new system of no longer putting prices on packaging, we don't know anything anymore....Migros is going backwards!

Dear customer,
Many thanks for your comment.
The relevant department informs us that the recipe has not been modified in any way. Only the proportion of Swiss flour has been increased from 60% to 90%, allowing us to include the words "Swiss flour" on the packaging. The structure of Zwieback should therefore not be harder, as confirmed by our tastings and controls. The last price increase was in 2009.
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us again. We look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Your M-Infoline team

My 85-year-old neighbor told me the same thing: she also finds the new zwieback harder! Has nothing really changed? Could the new pouches that keep the zwieback fresher for longer actually make them drier? In any case, my neighbor is really disappointed and I'd like to be able to give her an answer...

Hello acinom,
Many thanks for your message.
We can confirm that the Zwieback recipe has remained virtually unchanged since 1930.
In the absence of the expiration date and/or batch number, it is difficult for us to examine the problem precisely. We have checked a few reference samples, but have found no discrepancies in quality. Our Zwieback products are manufactured with the utmost care and attention to detail.
As the name suggests, Zwieback is baked twice. Slight fluctuations in the degree of cooking may exceptionally cause some products to be slightly darker and harder.
To analyze the situation specifically, we need to know the batch number and expiration date of the offending item. The batch number normally begins with the letter L or is made up of a mixture of numbers and letters.
We wish you a pleasant spring day.
Best regards Your M-Infoline team

Good day!

I have been wanting to write to you about rusks for a long time. I have been a rusk fanatic (classic version!) for at least 45 years and I would like to gather as much information as possible about this mythical product.

To be more precise:

- since when has rusk been made?

- can you visit the rusk factory?

- is this product protected?

- Any other information is welcome!

Thank you very much for your kind reply and see you soon!
With kind regards,

Manuel Rossello

Hi Manuel
Thank you for your contribution.
We would be happy to send you a report on Midor rusks, which was published in Migros Magazine in April 2013. The rusk has been produced according to virtually unchanged recipes since 1930. However, rusk is not a trademark and therefore cannot be protected. However, the recipe remains secret.
Although there is great interest in visiting the factory, this has no longer been possible for some time. Due to stricter regulations from legislation and food standards as well as increased requirements from our customers regarding product safety and hygiene, public tours of the production areas are unfortunately no longer possible.
We ask for your understanding, but hope that the report will help you.
Enjoy reading and best regards from the M-Infoline teamReport_Midor Zwieback.pdf
