I cooked one of these M-Classic Rollschinkli yesterday. Now it not only has a net, but also something like a plastic around the ham. I then cooked the ham with this plastic. The meat was very juicy and tender, but the crust was very tough. However, it was not possible to remove this "plastic" from the ham. It had bonded with the meat. What exactly is this layer (plastic)? Do you have to remove this layer? Which ham does not have such a layer around the meat? (IP-Suisse....) Best regards, Rahel
Dear Rahel, thank you for your feedback. Can you please provide us with the production details (best-before date and adjacent lot number) of your packaging? To check your question, we also need your place of purchase. Thank you in advance, best regards, your M-Infoline team
I bought the ham in Migros Aadorf. As far as I know, it had a shelf life until 21.11.2022. Unfortunately, I have already thrown away the outer packaging and given it to the waste disposal service. That's why I can't give you the lot number. Incidentally, this "layer of plastic" was under the net that holds the meat together.
Hello Rahel, thank you for your feedback. We were happy to discuss your request with the relevant specialist department. The smoked Rollschinkli are packed and smoked in a net, but no film or plastic is used, apart from the packaging. Quick Rollschinkli, on the other hand, are smoked in a special plastic casing. This is then removed and the ham is packed in a Quick bag and cooked. If the product you have bought is a smoked rolled ham on the net, we cannot understand how the plastic got into the ham. However, if it is the Quick Rollschinkli, then it is quite possible that the plastic casing was not removed cleanly. You are welcome to contact the Aadorf branch with the proof of purchase and the ham will be replaced or the purchase price refunded. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Thank you very much for your reply. You are just great!!! I'm glad that this "plastic" is not the new standard. A little ham has probably found its way into a bottle. greetings Rahel
