I would like organic cooking butter, specifically butter from Switzerland. Unfortunately, normal cooking butter does not indicate where the milk comes from. This is a major shortcoming that I cannot accept. I don't want to buy junk. Migros used to sell organic cooking butter, so why not anymore?
Hello Jul72, thank you for your inquiry.
According to Swiss law, the origin of ingredients must be indicated if they make up 50% or more of the product (with the exception of animal ingredients, which must be indicated if they make up 20% or more) and if the packaging is misleading, for example, if it suggests a different origin.
We comply with these requirements for all of our products.
The origin of the raw materials varies depending on availability and from production batch to production batch. The exact origin of the product – where required by law – can be found directly on the packaging in our stores.
If no origin is stated on the packaging, this is internal information that we do not disclose.
We no longer carry Migros Bio Bratbutter in our product range. We appreciate your valuable input and will forward it to our specialist department so that they can carefully consider the possibility of reintroducing it. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
