Does this product contain gluten? E.g. in the spice mix?

If a product contains gluten-containing ingredients, this must be openly declared, stating the gluten-containing cereals (wheat, spelt, rye, barley, etc.). Accordingly: Observe the list of ingredients! Traces due to possible carry-over in the manufacturing process must be indicated at the end of the list of ingredients with a "may contain gluten" or "may contain traces of gluten". Spices are gluten-free by definition. Seasoning mixtures may contain gluten, but this would then have to be declared (e.g. seasoning mixture [with wheat starch])

Hello LarsR, the product M-Classic marinated chicken breast schnitzel (1660.020) does not contain any gluten-containing ingredients, nor should any carry-over be expected. Federica has already explained the food law requirements. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why is there never a promotion on this product?

Hello Pich, we were happy to discuss your request with the specialist department. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to carry out a campaign for all items. However, our specialist department was happy to take your request on board. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The packaging says marinated, but the chicken breast schnitzel has no marinade on the meat at all. Is this pack "faulty"?

Hello Bable, thank you for your question. Can you please tell us the best before date (BBD) and the lot number next to it? The latter usually starts with an L or there is a mixture of numbers and letters. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Bable, thank you for the further information. We have not found any deviations during our checks. Our specialist parts confirm that we marinate the schnitzels with a liquid marinade made from water, salt and spices. For this reason, the schnitzels only need to be seasoned a little, if at all. This marinade ensures that the schnitzels are still very juicy after preparation (grilling, frying). Without a picture, it is difficult to judge whether there was actually no marinade on them. If you still have a picture of it, you are welcome to send it to us via the contact form. Click here for the contact form: https://www.migros.ch/de/services/kundendienst/infoline/produkt.html. I find it extremely bad that Migros now has Hungarian and German chicken in its range. The animal welfare regulations in these countries are much worse than here in Switzerland. This undermines the animal welfare regulations in Switzerland - just to save a few francs!

I agree with you exactly! I don't buy M-Budget chicken either, as it often comes from Brazil.

I fully agree!
I only ever buy chicken meat from Switzerland. I don't want to know what it's like in a chicken factory in Brazil.
And transportation halfway around the world is simply nonsensical.

Dear guest
In Switzerland, chicken consumption is greater than the supply, which is why we have to find alternative options.
So far, we have had good experiences with raw meat from Brazil. The chicken meat that comes from Brazil is of very good quality. In addition, these breeders produce according to strict regulations.
Throughout the entire production process, the goods are subjected to strict controls, so we can guarantee that the quality of these goods meets our requirements.
As the demand for chicken meat in Switzerland is greater than the supply, Swiss chicken meat is largely used only for "natural" products.
Migros attaches great importance to ecology, which is precisely why the raw chicken meat is not flown to Switzerland. The goods are shipped from Brazil to Roterdam and then transported from Roterdam to Switzerland by rail or truck.
Best regards

Mmmmmh, delicious, such old meat... "Made in Switzerland, with meat from Brazil" - freeze, defrost and shape, freeze, sell...

Hello guest
In Switzerland, the demand for chicken is greater than the supply, which is why we have to switch to foreign meat. The quality of chicken meat from Brazil is very good, and the breeders produce according to strict regulations. The goods are subjected to strict controls throughout the entire production process. This enables us to guarantee that the meat meets our high standards.
After slaughtering, the chicken meat is frozen immediately and is always stored at a temperature of at least -18 °C during transportation.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team
