I think there's a copy-paste error in the French translation 😅
Hello SchupfnudelHyäne, thank you for your comment. We will adjust it the next time we change the packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I don't understand why mushrooms like porcini mushrooms or button mushrooms come from CHINA. These types of mushrooms are also available here. Why are they still imported from CHINA of all places? Unfortunately, I only realized this when I got home. A reason for me to stop buying them. Although I am actually very enthusiastic about the freeze-dried products.
Hello MT_MT, thank you very much for your contribution. We are sorry that the origin has given you cause for complaint. We are happy to provide you with information: Switzerland, South Africa and the eastern states, for example, mainly use their mushrooms for the fresh market. This means that there is no longer enough raw material available from Switzerland for dried mushrooms. China is currently the only country that can supply us with the required quantities in the required quality. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Thank you for the answer, which is not very meaningful. The argument "...the desired quantities in the required quality..." can always be used. - I looked at the competition (Coop): their dried mushrooms (button mushrooms and porcini mushrooms) all come from Eastern Europe (conventional and organic). Eastern Europe is still much better than China, don't you think?
Hello MT_MT, thank you very much for your feedback. Flawless quality is very important to us. With China as a supplier, we are able to offer this. We are not aware of the selection criteria and requirements of our competitors, which is why we cannot comment on them. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Food law stipulates that the origin must also be declared in online retail (i.e. LeShop). This is not the case with this product.
why are the dried mushrooms cheaper than the fresh ones? is drying etc. really cheaper than shipping them to europe? :-(
Hello Kathrin, please excuse the long wait. Fresh mushrooms are seasonal products, whereas dried mushrooms are available all year round. They are heavier and bulkier, which is why more dried goods can be delivered in a cubic meter than fresh ones - this reduces transport costs. Mushrooms for drying are usually purchased in large quantities during the peak season. During the peak season, the price is lower than in the rest of the season due to the large supply. Fresh mushrooms have to be constantly procured as they cannot be stored. If there is a shortage on the market, for example due to climatic conditions, they have to be procured at a much higher price. All these factors are reflected in the selling price and lead to the price difference mentioned above. We hope you find this information useful. Best regards, Your M-Infoline Team
As usual, the Infoline is once again only telling half the truth. The dried porcini mushrooms on offer here are third-class goods from China, no matter how much they say about "quality assurance" (below). Compare these dirty Chinese porcini mushrooms, full of soil, pine needles and dried insect larvae, some of which have been eaten away by worms, with those of the competition, which come from south-east Europe or Italy. A huge difference, which is logically also reflected in the price. I am happy to pay the extra price for European mushrooms that don't make me lose my appetite while soaking...
Hello Federwolke, the dried mushrooms are randomly checked on every delivery and examined in the laboratory. If they show signs of insects or other undesirable characteristics, the delivered goods will not be accepted. In rare cases, defective goods may be sold. Migros' policy is always to source products from the geographically closest destination. Of course, availability and the high quality and product safety we demand must be guaranteed. It's actually a bit disgusting. I saw on SRF 10vor10 that these mushrooms come from China. But at this point I would kindly ask Migros not to include any more products from China in its range, even if the free trade agreement with China is signed, as I think this is very questionable. If only because of the possible contamination of the food with heavy metals and/or pesticides and the working conditions.
With kind regards
A loyal Migros customer

You're absolutely right, but what's the point, the little betzer can't do anything anyway. Unfortunately.

That is not true. The customer can make a difference. They can certainly refuse these products and in this way Migros becomes aware that customers do not want food from China.
Hello everyone
Many thanks for your comments.
Switzerland, South Africa and the eastern states mainly use their porcini mushrooms for the fresh market. The rest is used for frozen and canned products. This means that there is no longer enough raw material available from Switzerland for dried mushrooms.
China is the only country that can supply us with the desired quantities in the desired quality. Regardless of which country the products come from, they must comply with the requirements and regulations of Swiss legislation, which are very strict. The quality is regularly tested by a laboratory.
We hope that our reasoning is fully comprehensible.

These porcini mushrooms come from China! That's horrible. Never again such mushrooms!
Hello guest
Thank you for your feedback.
Even though the mushrooms come from China, we can assure you that they are sold in perfect quality and are regularly checked by our quality assurance department. The mushrooms meet the legal requirements.
It's a shame that you don't like the product. Nevertheless, we wish you an enjoyable week. Your M-Infoline Team
