Hello Migros
Are these chips vegan?
Thank you

Hello GustavGans
The product "M-Classic Pommes Chips nature" does not contain any ingredients or additives of animal origin and can therefore be described as vegan. However, it has not been certified as vegan and therefore does not carry a corresponding V-label on the packaging.
Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

These were actually my favorite chips so far. But the bag I bought at the beginning of the week was different than usual: the chips were cut much thicker than usual. Is this a mistake or the new normal? I hope it's not the latter, because then I wouldn't buy them any more

Hello Chur69, thank you very much for your inquiry. What a shame that you weren't able to enjoy your favorite chips as usual! We will be happy to look into your comment regarding the thickness. To enable us to trace the manufacturing process precisely, we ask you to send us the following information:

- the best-before date
- the batch or lot number

The latter is generally located next to the best-before date. It usually begins with the letter L or a mixture of letters and numbers. Thank you in advance for your valuable support.
Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Migros, are these potato chips gluten-free? Unfortunately, I can't find any information on the packaging or on the Internet. Thank you very much for your answer.

Potatoes, sunflower oil, cooking salt Yes

Hello Nermabsvc, these potato chips only contain potatoes, sunflower oil and salt and therefore no gluten-containing ingredients. No traces of gluten are to be expected either. Both would otherwise be clearly declared on the packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Migros, does this product contain alcohol (ethanol) or animal ingredients? Thank you for your reply.

Hello Seak90, thank you for your inquiry. No alcohol is used in the production of the potato chips. After clarification with our food law department, flavorings on the chips also do not contain alcohol/ethanol. The flavoring in a seasoning mix (for the potato chips) must be dry and not contain any liquid alcohol. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What is the origin of the potatoes? SWISS? Why is this not declared as standard on every product for the main components? It would be absolutely no problem with the quality tracking mania in force today...

Hello JoelT, thank you for your question. We always follow the legal requirements when declaring the origin of our products. Depending on the harvest and season, potatoes of different origins are used. We try to use Swiss potatoes for M-Classic Chips whenever possible, but we can supplement production with potatoes from the EU. If you would like to know the origin of a specific batch, you can give us the batch number and we will clarify this for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you for your answer, which now gives me more than enough insight for this case... It's a pity that you use the legal requirements as your yardstick and even as a justification. With the declaration of origin, I'm no longer concerned with the one batch that I've already consumed. It's about being able to recognize at a glance (or online with a click) which products (including M-Classic, Budget) "support" Swiss farmers and producers and which do not... Transparency promotes trust, by the way... even if it is often associated with minor complications as side effects

Hello Frederica, thank you for your answer. But it is still not clear to me: what does that mean now? Are the saturated fatty acids in this product trans fatty acids or not?

Hello, do the saturated fatty acids in this product correspond to trans fatty acids? Why are these not declared in Switzerland? Thank you and best regards, Karin Mathier

Good evening Eyerli Trans fatty acids are not a health risk in Switzerland: https://www.newsd.admin.ch/newsd/message/attachments/47154.pdfOrdinance of the FDHA on the Labeling and Promotion of Foodstuffs (LKV) 817.022.2111.Section: Nutritional labeling Art, 25 Required information If the content or type of fatty acids or the cholesterol content is indicated, the following applies: . This information must be given immediately after the indication of the total fat in the following manner: - fat of which: - saturated fatty acids - trans fatty acids (if applicable) - monounsaturated fatty acids (if applicable) - polyunsaturated fatty acids (if applicable), of which: - omega-3 fatty acids (if applicable) - omega-6 fatty acids (if applicable) - cholesterol (if applicable). Best regards Frederica

Hello Eyerli, trans fatty acids are produced when fats and oils are not fully hardened. Migros therefore does not use partially hydrogenated fats and oils. The complete hardening of fats and oils does not produce trans fatty acids. In Switzerland, there is a legal requirement that the trans fatty acid content must not exceed 2% (based on the fat content). M-Classic Nature Chips do not contain partially hydrogenated fats/oils, so trans fatty acids are not an issue. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

dear migros, what have you changed in the recipe? until before the summer vacations 2018, your natural chips were super fine - without a doubt ;-) now they are soggy and bland. have you also reduced the oil? please stop that and get back to the old quality and taste. please!

Thank you for your comment about our Nature Chips timey. We have clarified this with the supplier and assume that your chips were made with baked potatoes. These are potatoes that have been grown under a film so that they can be harvested earlier. Compared to normal field potatoes, they differ in consistency. For example, potato chips made from baked potatoes are less crispy. Unfortunately, this cannot be avoided depending on the season. The softer consistency can have an impact on the taste sensation, which means that they are probably perceived as bland. The responsible internal departments have been informed and will monitor this more closely. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

Guest

good chips. I went for the 400g bag. Unfortunately, some of the potato chips in the promotional pack tasted a lot like fish. Disgusting! What's the reason for that?

Dear guest
Thank you for your inquiry.
We regret that the quality of the chips gives cause for complaint. We need as much information as possible so that we can investigate this matter. Please provide us with the following numbers:
a) The M-Data (date of sale and use by date)
b) The batch/lot number of the chips
With the help of these numbers, we can check when exactly the chips were produced and whether any errors occurred during production at that time.
With this information, we can clarify the causes of this incident and avoid similar incidents in the future. Please understand that without this information we will not be able to make any clarifications and therefore cannot give you a clarifying answer.
We look forward to receiving your feedback with your reference number IN_1367791 and send you our best regards. Your M-Infoline Team

Dear Migros
Unfortunately, you have removed your Provencale potato chips from the range in favor of Zweilfel. I think this is a great pity because your potato chips were far superior.
Please, please put them back in the range. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like this.

Hello guest
Thank you for your inquiry.
Unfortunately, we have not had M-Classic Chips Provencale in our range for a while now. Sometimes, unfortunately, article deletions cannot be avoided. We assure you that we examine such a decision very carefully. One of Migros' tasks is to monitor market developments and identify new trends. So, unfortunately, from time to time items that are selling less and less well are removed from the range.
We hope you find other potato chips in our wide range that taste just as good to you and wish you a good weekend. Your M-Infoline team
