You say you sort in Switzerland, but China is notorious for deception. Are full analyses carried out systematically on every batch?
Hello jplaville, thank you very much for your question. Morels grow mainly in and on the edges of forests, and are particularly fond of ash trees. India, Pakistan and China are our main suppliers of dried morels. Depending on availability, our dried mushrooms can also be sourced from Canada. As far as controls are concerned, we can tell you that a random sample of morels is examined by a mushroom inspector every time we receive goods. In addition, we analyze the microbiological and chemical parameters of the samples on a risk basis. If any discrepancies are found, the mushrooms are not released for sale. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Food law stipulates that the origin must also be declared in online retail (i.e. LeShop). This is not the case with this product.

Origin: Packed in Switzerland by Delica AG... But which country do the mushrooms come from?
Hoi fonero We are happy to provide you with more detailed information about our dried morels, which come from China, USA, India, Canada and Montenegro. We will be happy to refer you to the declaration on the packaging. As we source the goods from several countries, the provenance may vary from batch to batch. See you soon in your Migros. They're good, but MUCH too expensive! The same 20 g. pack costs CHF 6.90 at Denner, i.e. 40% less! This price is outrageous and unjustified.
Hi ospa1818
Thank you for your contribution Migipedia.
When Migros took over Denner, the Competition Commission (COMCO) set a number of requirements before authorizing the transaction.
One of these conditions was that Migros undertake to keep Denner legally, organizationally and operationally independent. This independence relates in particular to pricing policy, actions, assortments and locations, as well as autonomous market presentation under the Denner brand. Denner remains Denner.

Hi Infoline,
Thanks for your reply, but it doesn't answer the point. The fact that you can find morels for 60% less (whether at Denner or elsewhere) shows that the product costs too much at Migros.
Hi ospa1818
Thank you for your new message.
Morels are very expensive wild mushrooms that mainly come from India, Pakistan and China. The morels sold at Migros are carefully sorted by hand in Switzerland to guarantee our customers the best possible product. We therefore consider their price to be justified.
We cannot comment on the mushrooms sold by our competitors. We already told you in our first message that there are still differences between Migros and Denner.
Best regards
Dein M-Infoline Team
