Dear Migros The packaging says: Traditional cookies since 1952, yet this product contains palm oil - that doesn't add up. I dare to doubt that palm oil has been used for this since 1952, don't you?
Hello ebamert, thank you for your message. Nothing has changed in the recipe. The palm oil is used for technical production reasons and because of its specific sensory properties. It is therefore not always possible to replace it with another oil or fat without problems. And in many cases, the alternatives are equally or even more critical from an ecological or health point of view. Another alternative would be (partially) hydrogenated fats and oils. These have come under heavy fire in recent years for health reasons. Midor therefore removed all (partially) hydrogenated fats from its recipes some time ago. In many Midor recipes, palm oil has been replaced by rapeseed and sunflower oils. These are grown in less critical regions but, like coconut, require a lot of land as the yield per area is low. In cases where a sensible replacement for palm oil is not possible, Midor only uses sustainably produced palm oil (RSPO segregated). Midor's palm oil policy therefore takes into account both ecological and health concerns as well as the quality standards of its products. Kind regards, your M-Infoline Team

I'm looking for these cookies in Paris, France, where can I find them?
Another question, can you tell me if the packaging used to be different, with red and black stripes...about twenty years ago....
Hi Marc233,
Unfortunately, Meilen shortbread is only available in Switzerland and Germany. As far as the packaging is concerned, we asked our supplier and found the attached picture. Is this the design you're referring to?
Have a nice day!
Best regards Your team M-InfolineMeilener Rollen.png

I'm also annoyed by the fact that the nuts are now almost completely missing. I have now switched to Kambly Sables. Sorry ;-)
Hello guest
Can you give us the LOT number of your pack? Then our specialists will know which batch it concerns. Without this number, an exact clarification is not possible.
You will find the LOT number printed on the pack. It either starts with an L or is a mixture of numbers and letters.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team
Yes, I'm pretty mad too, there are fewer and fewer hazelnuts over the years and it was precisely these that gave the Guezli its fine taste! The price is pretty high just for the dough...
Hello posciochr, we understand your anger. The recipe has not been changed in the last 15 years. Therefore, the absence of the nuts is also a mystery to us and we would like to know which batch is affected. Can you give us the best-before date and the lot/batch number of an affected pack? Without this information, we are unfortunately unable to make any clarifications. Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Still as good as ever but ....where are the hazelnuts????
Dear Guest
We're sorry that there were no hazelnuts in the Meilen shortbread.
Could you please tell us the LOT number of this package, so that we can verify this matter? The LOT number can be found on the packaging and starts with an "L" or consists of letters and numbers.
Best regards
