Hello, unfortunately I can't read on the packaging where the milk etc. comes from. it only says Swiss production and the Swiss cross is also missing on the packaging. so my question is: are all the ingredients from Switzerland and if not, where do they come from? thank you very much
Hi witchblade, thank you for your inquiry. We can understand your surprise regarding the missing Swiss cross on the product packaging. In principle, we continue to use Swiss butter, which is also produced in Switzerland. However, there is sometimes a butter shortage in Switzerland due to the above-average demand for milk. We have therefore decided to remove the Swiss cross so that we can also use imported butter in exceptional cases. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I have been satisfied with this product for years - rated 5 stars! Consistency has always been OK. But the last pack (opened after 3 days in the fridge) contains a crumbly mixture with a watery edge! It is difficult to spread on bread. The taste is a little more intense but OK. Shelf life still unknown. User "Halbfett" described something very similar 1 year ago! Bought on 18.06.2024 in MM Gartenstadt, Münchenstein; best before date: 28.09.2024, 12:35; I can't find a LOT number. Questions about storage temperature: When defrosting the fridge automatically every day, the temperature can exceed +5°C - no problem so far. For storage, the temperature can be lowered to +2°C for 24 hours - so far no problem either. By the way, the contents of the pack I bought today (best before 11.10.2024) have the usual consistency - so far.
Hi Strohfeuer, thank you very much for your message and for your 5-star rating! How nice that we have been able to inspire you with our margarine for several years 😊. However, we are sorry that your recent experience with our product was not flawless.
We confirm that we have not made any changes to the recipe. The deviations you described, which are clearly visible in the picture, can be attributed to temperature fluctuations. This margarine is an emulsion which is no longer stable enough after temperature fluctuations and therefore tends to "sweat" water. Basically, this is only a slight structural change, which is mainly visible visually. However, it has no effect whatsoever on the palatability of the product - consumption is absolutely safe.
Natural fluctuations in the raw materials used or storage in an incorrectly set refrigerator (too warm or too cold) can lead to this phenomenon. We recommend keeping semi-skimmed margarine refrigerated at a maximum temperature of +5 °C.
We have informed our specialist department about your experience. We are keeping an eye on this issue - flawless product quality is our top priority. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Since the packaging of the semi-skimmed butter has been changed, has the recipe also been changed? It has become a crumbly mass, has nothing to do with butter any more, what a shame!!!
Hello Halbfett, we are very sorry that you have a complaint about our M-Classic léger half-fat butter. So that we can trace the production, we would ask you to provide us with the best-before date and the lot number (begins with L and consists of letters and numbers). For now, we wish you a nice day. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Unfortunately I have already disposed of the tin, the best-before date was ok, crumbly from the start, as if it was from the freezer, now just buy spreadable butter! mfG V. Guth
Hello Halbfett, thank you for your message. Unfortunately, without a lot number and best-before date, we are unable to make any further clarifications and/or draw any conclusions about possible causes. There was no change to the recipe. Our retained samples are flawless - our production records for the last batches also show no irregularities. Kind regards, Alex your M-Infoline team
I also had this problem, but for the first time in years; the pack I bought today is fine again. I have written a separate entry about it. Wishing you many more spreadable days!
Hello Halbfett, thank you for your feedback. So that we can trace the production, we would ask you to provide us with the best-before date and the lot number (starts with L and consists of letters and numbers). For now, we wish you a nice day. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Is E 471 plant-based or animal-based?
Hello Lola100100, the emulsifier E 471 in the Léger half-fat butter is of vegetable origin. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello. Why did it have a lasting price drop to 3.10 frs and I see that it didn't last after all.... ?
Hello Blue_Shiny, thank you for your question. Process optimization has enabled us to lower the price of this butter slightly at the end of 2020 and to pass this reduction on to our customers. Due to a rise in milk prices and the low availability of Swiss butter, we are constantly checking prices and adjusting them if necessary. Our aim is to continue offering the best value for money. Hello, is it possible to use this butter for cooking, and if so, up to what temperature? Thank you in advance and have a nice day!
Hi, Thank you very much for your request. We're very pleased that you're interested in us. Léger semi-fat butter is used for refining dishes. It is not intended for cooking. We therefore advise you not to use it for roasting food. We wish you a good day and look forward to your next visit. Best regards Your M-Infoline team

I love this butter, it tastes really delicious! Unfortunately, it does have one big negative point: its ingredients. It contains a lot of unnatural additives, which bothers me. There are emulsifiers (E471, which translates into fatty acids that can be of animal or various vegetable origin, and therefore perhaps palm?), soy lecithin, thickeners, preservatives, acidifiers, coloring agent, etc. Soon a version with fewer food additives...? Thank you!
Hi chloemargraitner Many thanks for taking the time to write to us. We appreciate your interest and apologize for the lateness of our reply. The additive E471 is a mono- and diglyceride of edible vegetable fatty acids from European rapeseed and sunflower (Denmark). Without it, the product would be neither stable nor edible. The mono- and diglycerides are "burned" quite normally and converted into energy in the body. The lecithin used comes from sunflowers. Sunflower lecithin is a natural substance found in plants with an oleaginous content (such as sunflower and rapeseed). Lecithin is an important commodity that is also used as a health-promoting dietary supplement. The thickener alginate is needed to ensure the product's structure and smoothness. Alginate is a carbohydrate extracted from brown seaweed (of French origin). The preservative (potassium sorbate) ensures product safety at very low levels by blocking potential microbiological germs. Potassium sorbate is also "burned" by the body and converted into energy like fat. A small amount of acidifier (citric acid) adds a very slight fresh flavor. Citric acid is naturally present in many plants, such as apples, pears and raspberries. beta-carotene is a natural precursor of vitamin A, also known as provitamin A. The conversion of beta-carotene to vitamin A occurs in the body. Beta-carotene is naturally present in carrots, squash, apricots, sea buckthorn, spinach and broccoli. It gives the product its color (which would otherwise be too "pale"). Hoping to count you among our valued customers in the future too, we wish you a lovely sunny day. Best regards Your M-Infoline team
