As our son has a gluten intolerance, we would like to know whether these potato chips contain gluten or not? Unfortunately, he got a severe headache this evening after eating them: Is this due to the yeast used?
In general: It would make our lives - and I'm sure those of many other families - much easier if migros consistently labeled gluten-free products with the gluten-free symbol. Even beyond the aha products. Otherwise we spend a lot of time reading the declarations every time we visit migros.

Thank you for your question about our Léger Paprika Chips. We are sorry that one of our products has led to a negative experience.
Léger paprika chips do not contain any gluten-containing ingredients and are therefore also suitable for people with coeliac disease. Unfortunately, we cannot say why your son suffered from a headache after eating them.
Unfortunately, it is not so easy to label all naturally gluten-free products or products that are gluten-free according to the recipe as such. The Foodstuffs Ordinance (more precisely: the FDHA Ordinance on Special Foodstuffs) defines the term gluten-free as follows:
"Foods for people with gluten intolerance are foods that have been specially produced, prepared and processed to meet the specific dietary requirements of people with gluten intolerance. They can be labeled "gluten-free" if their gluten content is 20 mg/kg or less."
This means that many products may not be labeled as "gluten-free" by law (for example, orange juice may not be labeled as "gluten-free"). Furthermore, gluten-free labeling must also be guaranteed, which is not always easy.
As it is clear from the list of ingredients if a product contains gluten-containing ingredients, special labeling is not absolutely necessary.
For this reason, we limit ourselves to gluten-free specialty products (gluten-free products with the aha! Allergy Center Switzerland seal of approval).
