I wonder if it's a different type of rice to the one I had before, because the color used to be white and the taste was also very different from today. I'm not very happy about the change because the previous type of rice was fantastic.
And the label on the packaging was blue, thank you.
Hello Matisil, thank you for your question. Long grain rice belongs to a subgroup of the Indica rice variety. The rice has not changed. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why have there been name changes for some rice varieties? This one, for example, is no longer called Carolina
Hello Coacoa200, thank you for your request. There was only an adjustment to the Carolina rice. Nobody knows where the name Carolina comes from, so we have adapted the name. We understand that this is a change for our customers. Now you can see at a glance what kind of rice (in this case long grain rice) it is. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why has the rice had different nutritional values since the redesign? I haven't noticed any change in the quality...
Hello webesa, every new product that is added to the Migros range is checked for its nutritional value and a nutritional declaration is created, which is printed on the packaging and also displayed online. Existing products, such as Carolina Rice, are checked on a random basis and the nutritional values can also be adjusted once depending on the results. The fat content of M-Classic dry rice is now slightly higher, which also affects the energy content. However, the difference is extremely minimal. You must always remember that the nutritional value of food is naturally always subject to certain fluctuations. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Has anything changed about this rice? I always thought it was great, like dry rice should be. Now it suddenly becomes sticky, like risotto rice.
Hello Prischer, thank you very much for your message. Could you let us know the best-before date and the lot number, which is next to the best-before date. We would be happy to follow up on your comment. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

When I prepared the Carolina parboiled rice recently, as I always do, the rice had such a soft consistency. It reminded me more of risotto than rice. What a shame! At first I thought it was due to the cooking method. However, my neighbor reported the same problem. This soft risotto-like consistency already appeared in my kitchen about a year ago. I then switched to Uncle Bens' and tried the parboiled rice again after about two or three months, after which the rice was as tasty as in the old days. Does the quality of the rice depend on the harvest? And if so, can't this problem be solved?

I had the same experience last week. My rice dish was also more like risotto! I had to check the packet again to see if I had really bought dry rice, but it was Carolin rice!
