How to store after frying ? container?
Hello nikoss, thank you for your question. We would not recommend storing it afterwards. And if you do intend to do this, make sure that the oil is clean and free of food residues. The shelf life and odor should also be taken into account when reheating. If the shelf life has expired or it smells unpleasant, please dispose of it. We also recommend disposing of it after accidental overheating. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, is this fat hydrogenated?
Hello Hulton, and thank you for your inquiry. It took some time to process due to the Easter holidays. We are sorry to have to reply only now, and are pleased to confirm that coconut fat is not hydrogenated. With best regards, your M-Infoline team

I bought the mclassic coconut oil... Apart from the fact that it is an oil and not a fat, my question is... Why does it have absolutely no smell or taste unlike other manufacturers?
Hello Bubble66, thank you for your inquiry. At room temperature, coconut oil has a solid aggregate state and a whitish color - in this form it is referred to as coconut fat. When heated, it is liquid and thus becomes coconut oil. Our coconut fat is in fact almost tasteless. This is because it is refined. Most coconut fats/oils are not refined, but cold-pressed. The refining process "refines out" all impurities and therefore also the flavor particles. This results in a pure, tasteless coconut fat/oil. However, this is no less qualitative and has no negative effect on use. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I have read that ticks do not like coconut oil at all because of the lauric acid it contains. I have only read that you can apply coconut oil to yourself or your livestock/pet to repel ticks. Now my question: can I also eat the coconut oil to benefit from the tick repellent effect? And how much should I eat? And is it any good if I mix coconut oil into my food?
Hello Morice, unfortunately we cannot make a recommendation. Even the effectiveness of coconut oil when applied externally must generally be viewed with skepticism. So far there has been no serious study on the effectiveness of coconut oil against tick infestation. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
I would use unrefined coconut oil for this. It is quite possible that the active substances (lauric acid) have also been 'refined out'. If the odor has an effect on the parasites, it is practically gone.

Is the coconut fat cold-pressed? Because if not, isn't it full of trans fats that clog my veins?
Hello Morice, the M-Classic coconut fat is hot-pressed. The type of pressing (cold/hot pressing) has nothing to do with (incomplete) hardening, which can produce trans fatty acids. M-Classic coconut fat is not hardened. If it were hardened, this must be indicated on the packaging by law (e.g. hardened coconut fat). Coconut fat is solid at room temperature because it contains a high proportion of saturated fatty acids. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, how much lauric acid does this coconut oil contain?
Hello ikur, unfortunately we have to disappoint you, there is no information available on the lauric acid content of our M-Classic coconut fat. However, the German Society for Fat Science has published a list with guide values. Here the range is given as 45% - 53%. The variation in lauric acid content is due to the different plant species and countries of origin and cannot be narrowed down any further. Best regards, . your M-Infoline Team

Hello Is this coconut fat bleached after refining? And what refining method is used? Is this done using steam? Thank you for your feedback.
Hello signa21. The supplier tells us the following: The coconut oil is physically refined. After the so-called deodorization with steam, there is no further bleaching step. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

A proper indication of origin would be good. As a consumer, I am usually the weakest link in the chain of capitalism and otherwise have few means of obtaining detailed information and sorting out products; "Asia" (technically Turkey to Japan) is a joke and completely unsuitable, but shows the success of lobbying by big industry.
Hi EmJay, the coconut oil comes from the Philippines and Malaysia. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What is the lauric acid content (in percent) of this coconut oil?
Hello T.H., the lauric acid content of M-Classic coconut fat is in the range of 45% - 53%. The fluctuation range is due to the different varieties and countries of origin of the coconuts, which is why it is unfortunately not possible to provide more precise information.
