What is the W value of this flour?

Hello Migiolipo, thank you for your question. We do not carry out the analysis to determine the W value in our laboratory. We work with the Extensograph, which is comparable but has a different form of evaluation. It is almost impossible to compare the results in relation to the W value. Best regards,
your M-Infoline team

Hello everyone, a question: some time ago it was said that Migros will switch completely to pesticide-free wheat by 2023, when can we expect to see these products on the shelves? Kind regards

Hello Nieneineu, thank you for your inquiry. The 1 kilogram packets will be switched to IP Suisse and then to IP Suisse pesticide-free on a rolling basis. Various IP Suisse flours are already available on the shelves. Due to the rolling nature of the changeover, we are unable to provide a more precise time frame. You can find our media release under the following link. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What number does this flour have

Hello muribe_2, thank you for your question. Our white flours (organic art. no. 1046.024 and M-Classic IPS white flour art. no. 1046.110, 1046.111) correspond to wheat flour type 550, which has a mineral content of ≤ 0.63 % according to Swiss legislation. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

Is this flour: - without E920 and without E921? - vegan? - free from additives/auxiliaries - completely GMO-free? If it contains traces of soy or pseudocereals, is it GMO-free? - No cross-contamination with animal ingredients/substances, GMOs or alcohol?

Hello Rushena, M-Classic IPS white flour is normal white flour without any additives. White flour is vegan, alcohol-free, GMO-free and there are no traces of soy or similar. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello migipedia Has this flour replaced the terrasuisse flour or is it the same, just the packaging is different? Thanks in advance and best regards

Hello Ammina_2, thank you for your question. The product is unchanged. The flour is now simply IP-Suisse certified. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migipedia I am looking for flour type 405. Which of your flours corresponds to this type? (I find it questionable that Migros does not declare the flour types according to the DIN standard. Many recipes from neighboring countries refer to a specific type of flour. In addition, there is the need of the foreign resident population, who look in vain for this information on Migros packaging.

Perhaps this table will help: Mehltypen🇨🇭, 🇦🇹, 🇩🇪.

Merci, but not really, because according to Migros their white flour Terrasuiss is type 550 and not 405.

Is Terrasuisse Farine fleur ''00'' flour and can this flour be used to make pasta. Or what is the best flour available in Migros to make pasta.
Thanks
X

Hello VXavy, Thank you for your question. This wheat flour corresponds to type 550 wheat flour. As per Swiss legislation, its mineral content is less than 0.63%. This flour is universally utilizable. It is therefore suitable for making pasta. Best regards, dein M-Infoline Team

Dear Migipedia

This answer is wrong from my point of view. According to a large number of relevant recipes, Italian flour type 00 is ideal for pasta. But it corresponds to german DIN standard 405 and NOT to standard 550. Please let us know which Migros flour corresponds to DIN standard 405 or the Italian standard 00. I find it questionable that Migros does not declare the types of flour in widely used DIN-Standard or in italian one - many recipes from neighboring countries refer to a certain type of flour. In addition, there is the need of the foreign resident population, who look in vain for this information on the Migros packaging. PS: In bigger Alnatura-Shops "Alnatura Weizenmehl Type 405) is available and declared correctly.

Hello mailawb, these indications of the types of flour are not common in Switzerland and are therefore not printed on the packaging. In any case, we understand you. We do not have flour type 405, but we can recommend the BIO white flour or the Bio Urdinkel Vollkornmehl . Best regards, the M-Infoline Team

Many thanks for the answer. What about the max. water absorption %? This value helps me in this case :-)

Hello Locuorio, thank you for your question. From our experience, the water absorption is between 59.0 % - 65.0 %, depending on the moisture content (13.0 % - 15.0 %) of the flour. The amount of water added increases slightly with dried flour. We hope that this information helps you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
