Hello The instructions simply say "3 dl milk". What kind of milk... x % fat? Cold or lukewarm?
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
Greetings Brigitta
Hello everyone I have a recipe for a sweet plait with raisins that says to use type 405 wheat flour. I can't find any information on the packaging as to what type this is. Can you tell me whether this plait flour corresponds to type 405? Many thanks and regards Rolf
Hello Worm77, thank you for your inquiry. Our M-Classic plaited flour is between type 550 and type 720. However, you don't necessarily need type 405 to make a sweet plaited flour. This is also possible with M-Classic plaited flour without any problems. We do not have a type 405 in our range. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Is this flour - vegan? - completely GMO-free? if it should have traces of soy or pseudo-cereals, are these GMO-free? - is it free from e920 and e921? - free from other additives/auxiliary substances? - cross-contamination with animal substances and alcohol excluded in the entire production process?
Hello Rushena, please check the packaging information before you start making sweeping statements about x different products. All ingredients are declared in the list of ingredients. The M-Classic plaited flour consists of white and original spelt flour and has no other additives. The flours are vegan, alcohol-free, GMO-free and do not contain any traces of soy or similar. Dear Migroteam I am confused about the information on the pack: it says 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt (10g) and for sugar only 1 teaspoon but also (10g) Has a mistake crept in or is there an explanation for this? Kind regards Regula Fasser
Good morning markusfasser 1 teaspoon (spread) corresponds to 4 grams of sugar, 5 grams of salt and 3 grams of baking powder 1 teaspoon (heaped) corresponds to 8 grams of sugar, 10 grams of salt and 6 grams of baking powder Source: Edeka Best regardsFrederica
Thank you very much, would mean that according to the recipe with 11/2 tsp salt 7.5g and with 1 tsp sugar 4g, or 15g salt and 8g sugar can be used. Therefore, the recipe specification of 10g each is incorrect. Best regards
@markusfasser I would rely on the recipe, the teaspoons are not all the same size. 1L of salt is ~ 1250g and 1L of sugar ~ 1020g.
Hello markusfasser, this recipe has been around for years and has never been changed. We have tested various teaspoons in this context, as there are also different sizes. If you now compare these in heaps with salt, it is clear that a teaspoon is not ideal. This is because a small teaspoon contains just 7 grams of salt and a large teaspoon contains 11 grams, compared with 5.5 to 9 grams for sugar. Our suggestion for the future is to state the recipe information in grams and to refer to the whole bag. We cannot yet say for sure when this will be implemented. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Many thanks 😊

What is the recipe on the back?
Hello Suzsane, here is the recipe: Ingredients: 500 g flour, 1 sachet dry yeast (7 g), 3 dl milk, 1.5 teaspoons salt (10 g), 1 teaspoon sugar (10 g), 50 g soft butter, 1 egg yolk (for coating). Preparation: Knead all the ingredients into a dough. Cover the bowl and leave the dough to rise in a warm place for approx. 1 hour. Roll the dough into two strands of equal length and braid them into a plait. Place the dough on a baking tray, cover and leave to rise again for approx. 40 minutes. Brush the plait with egg yolk before baking and then bake in a preheated oven (approx. 220 degrees) on the second lowest rack for 30 - 40 minutes. Best wishes, your M-Infoline team

What type of flour is it? 550? What type is the semi-white flour?
Hello Rmvv11, thank you for contacting us. TerraSuisse Zopfmehl (1046.118) is a mixed flour (white flour and light spelt flour) and is therefore a special flour according to Swiss legislation. It has a mineral content of 0.52 - 0.63 %. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why don't they print proper braiding instructions on the packaging? It's a shame, because an old craft is being forgotten. Kind regards. Ingi
Hello Ingi, thank you very much for your post. We will be happy to pass it on to our flour department so that your comment can be checked and any instructions can be printed. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The plait flour consists of 90% white wheat flour for 1.15 chf per kilo and 10% original spelt flour for 3.60chf per kilo. So it should cost a maximum of 1.40?

Oops, just realized my mistake, sorry, can I delete the question?
Hello Kurumi, we'll be happy to give you a quick answer anyway :) That's right, the retail price of CHF 1.15 is for the 500 gram bag. The slightly higher price is also due to the additional process step of recipe development and mixing. The plaited flour is also produced in smaller quantities, as it is only used specifically for plaited pastries. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
