Dear Migros, are these beans cooked? I've heard you're not supposed to eat raw green beans. I can't find any indication on the can as to whether they're raw or cooked.
No, you're supposed to heat it up... that's what it says in the product information.

has the manufacturer of this product been changed or has something been changed? for some time now i have always had really hard, tough beans in it and also lots of stems. used to be one of my favorite products, but now i'm thinking about not buying it anymore.

Instead, last summer was very dry and hot. This meant that the beans had to protect themselves more against drying out towards the end of the season. For this reason, the skin of the beans has become somewhat firmer and tougher, which can affect the bite.
However, this is an unavoidable effect that can hardly be influenced. We were also able to detect this slightly in two samples we tasted. Of course, there should not be any additional stems. It is very likely that there was a short-term problem with the system, which meant that not all the beans were tapped correctly. We apologize for the deviation. We will contact you again privately.
