Hello, I haven't liked the taste of gingerbread for a long time either. Why won't Migros listen to its long-term customers? And restore this fine old product? It used to happen that the shelves were empty, but that doesn't happen with the new ones. They can't be that good and popular. And Migros wants to take us for fools - of course they've changed the shape, but the fact that they can't stand by it makes me think. No wonder everyone runs to the competition. There are more and more products that Migros is destroying or no longer producing. Don't you realize that you're destroying yourselves? I think that's a shame and I'm sure Mr. Duttwiller wouldn't approve either.
Hello M6, thank you for your contribution. We're sorry to hear that the gingerbread is no longer to your liking! The manufacturer has confirmed that no changes have been made to the recipe. There was only a change from soy lecithin to lecithin in the chocolate used. However, this change has no sensory effects. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Once again the disappointment that the old biscuits are not back in the store! I've been waiting 6 years for the old gingerbread tins... Dear Migros, I think you have a certain responsibility towards the Migros children! You don't change the honey or Nature Farmer, Blevita original, cult ice cream, cult iced tea or your gingerbread that stands out from all the Aldi/Lidl junk! Why on earth did you do that with the best biscuits in the world? My Migroskind heart is bleeding and as I read here I'm not the only one who wants the old ones back!!! (The stars, bells, half moons, hearts!) Is there no hope??
Hello Dani_82. We understand your disappointment about the changed product. You and the other lovers liked the previous version better. However, our range is based on the wishes of the majority. As many customers got in touch and requested a change, we made the recipe adjustment. We think carefully about such a decision. The gingerbread shapes with the current recipe are popular and are doing well. We are therefore not planning any further adjustments at the moment. We hope you find a gingerbread that you like. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Has anyone dared to try the gingerbread molds this year? Is the recipe still altered and inedible? I still miss the gingerbread molds from the old recipe. They have been my favorite Christmas cookies every year since I was a child.
Favorite Christmas cookies should be there...
Hello Alperose, thank you for your question about our gingerbread molds. It's a shame that you no longer like them. The molds are now available for the third season with the new recipe. Due to frequent feedback from our customers that the cookies were too hard, we adjusted the recipe in 2013. Perhaps you will find a new favorite product in our wide range? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What a disappointment!!!! The gingerbread shapes have been our favorite cookies for years. I noticed when I bought them that the shapes were different (there were never any round ones). I looked in vain for a note on the packaging and immediately thought that they looked exactly the same as those offered by ALDI Süd (D). I was stressed and bought them anyway. Conclusion: They now taste just like the ones from ALDI. We think they're awful! It's a matter of taste, of course, but there's definitely no comparison with the old ones. I'll never buy them again!!!! My tip for anyone who likes them: drive across the border, you'll get the same taste for a quarter of the price! Merry Christmas!
Hello guest
Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the delay in our response.
We are sorry that you no longer like the gingerbread shapes.
The reason for the changes to the recipe was various customer feedback received via the M-Infoline over the years. The desire was for a softer consistency.
We have been producing gingerbread shapes for over 40 years and the shapes have always remained the same: Hearts, triangles and circles. We have not changed the spice mix or the shape.
We will of course collect all feedback and will decide how to proceed after the end of the season.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

For years, Migros stood out with its bear gingerbread, Elisen gingerbread and gingerbread molds from the over-spiced bBlligzeug from coop and Denner. Unfortunately that's over now, the new gingerbread shapes taste just as awful as the others!!! Please produce the old ones again next year, a winter without is enough :-(

p.s.would like an answer from Migros, unfortunately I couldn't click on it...

p.p.s. of course the spices have been changed and the shapes too! Since my childhood it has been stars, moons & bells!

We are sorry that you no longer like the new gingerbread shapes.
We have changed the recipe in response to several customer requests to make the cookies a little softer. However, we have not made any changes to the spice mix.
We are aware that we can never satisfy all tastes when changing recipes. However, we forward all feedback to the specialist department. If we receive a lot of customer feedback, we may well have to make further adjustments.
Kind regards from the M-Infoline team
@M-Infoline,
"We have changed the recipe in response to several customer requests to make the cookies a little softer."
Bringing facts? Where have the customers commented?
Your repetitive canned text is as boring as gingerbread is inedible!
Greetings Istanbul
Thank you Istanbul, I don't like reading these standard responses either. It's the same with almost every complaint.
@Frederica and Indios: I can only agree with you!!!

I am also very disappointed. They were my favorite Christmas cookies for years. Now I think they're terrible and unfortunately had to dispose of them too. The taste has definitely changed, even if people claim otherwise. The taste is much more intense - too intense. I also think it's a shame that there is no indication of the change on the packet... I'm hoping for tips from other customers on where to get comparable biscuits (based on the old recipe).
Dear guest
Thank you also for your feedback. We will of course inform the responsible department.
We hope you find an alternative that you like and wish you an enjoyable week. Your M-Infoline team

Oh yes, the old recipe again please. Had bought a bag for the gloomy weekend.... and the weekend would be even gloomier! Very disappointed with the soft things.

These used to be my favorite Christmas cookies. Since this year they have been used without a new recipe. They taste awful! What a shame! Now it's more like a chili gingerbread or something.
Where are the good old Christmas gingerbread tins?
Dear guest
Thank you very much for your comment. It's a shame that you no longer like the gingerbread shapes.
In response to several customer requests, we have adjusted the recipe slightly to make the product softer. We have not made any changes to the spice mix.
Complaints about taste in particular are very tricky, as everyone perceives it differently. However, we have of course forwarded your feedback on the product to the relevant specialist department.
Have a nice day and see you soon in your Migros!

The gingerbread shapes really don't taste good any more, quite artificial with a clove aroma and they have also become softer. I no longer buy them either. Why do you have to keep "reinventing" products that have obviously been good for years, see also Heidi milk.
