The M-Budget creams had a more intense taste because they were less refined or "stretched" with cream and were therefore more suitable for different uses. Incidentally, these 500 g tubs have been available as a standard product since at least the 1980s. In 2004 or 2005, I suddenly no longer found these tubs in the range and asked the sales staff about them and was informed that they were now M-Budget. In fact, the same cream was now simply in a new design (I don't remember whether the price had also changed). Shortly afterwards, the M-Classic creams that are still available today were introduced in 500 g tubs, with more cream, at a higher price, but (a great pity, especially in the case of the chocolate cream) with less flavor. For me, this is a typical strategy of hidden price increases: sidelining a popular (inexpensive) product and replacing it with a more expensive, more prominently placed one. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case at Migros :(

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that you don't like the M-Classic dessert as much.
Unfortunately, we had to discontinue the M-Budget cream at the time because demand for it was really very low. This is by no means a strategy to force customers to buy more expensive products. Unfortunately, space on the shelves is very limited, forcing us to remove unpopular products from our range.
However, we do have other M-Budget dessert products that will remain in the range: M-Budget Coupe Chantilly and the M-Budget Flan.

Thank you for your feedback. I didn't write anywhere that I don't like the M-Classic cream. I like the cream as such, but then in the small portions. I used the 500g tubs to make desserts, and the M-Budget was simply more suitable for that, as it was more chocolatey. Apparently, word hasn't gotten around yet that I shouldn't be told about the eternal bear about the space available. It also doesn't match up with the official reasons why the product range has been greatly streamlined in recent years: The customer is struggling with the huge selection. That's nonsense, the average customer is a creature of habit and wants the products they've known for years. It's time to be honest and admit that a more streamlined range saves on logistics and personnel costs.

We have removed the M-Budget product from our range. We do this when demand decreases over a longer period of time. Unfortunately, space on the shelves is limited, so it is our duty to constantly check the attractiveness of our selection and make adjustments if necessary. This measure allows us to create space for new products and variations.
