If it does not contain Spanish meat (as in the original chorizo) or Portuguese meat (as in chouriço), then the product should not be allowed to bear these names. But these names are simply not legally protected and so this "Swiss paprika sausage" can be sold under the name, but its taste and consistency cannot compete with the originals from the south.
