Has anything changed in the production process over the last few months? The 'water' in which the peas are soaked seems to be a lot slimier and some of the peas are less cooked through. Personally, I liked the project better before. Thank you very much for your feedback.

Hello Krilot, could you please provide us with the lot number and best-before date for further clarification? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, I'm not sure what the lot number is. But I found the following numbers/codes: On the lid: FD2 CC03 LF131 05/2025 On the side under the weight: 7 610200 042804 Greetings

Hello Krilot, thank you for your information. Your request is still with our specialist department. We will contact you as soon as we have any news. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Krilot, thank you for your patience regarding our clarifications. As promised, we will get back to you with news from the specialist department. First of all, we can confirm that no changes have been made to the recipe or the production process. When we tested samples from the production series you purchased, we did not discover any deviations. However, we do have a suspicion. Peas are natural products. Pulses contain chickpea starch. If a can has a higher drained weight, the amount of starch released is also greater. This is noticeable in the consistency. This leads to the inconsistencies you described. We are sorry that we were unable to detect these discrepancies as part of our safety precautions. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. As an immediate measure, we have asked all areas involved to ensure that they are handled correctly. We are continuing to monitor the issue closely. After all, our aim is to ensure that our M-Classic chickpeas meet the requirements. We hope you will give us another chance to convince you of the impeccable quality. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hehe, fantastic. Now the product has 5 sustainability climate compatibility MCheckCO2 stars. So huereguet. Best in class, or something. But the countries of origin are changed during the year. Will the stars then also be adjusted?

Hello tvg, thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate your interest in the M-Check. The production method is the decisive factor for calculating the climate rating. Transportation, on the other hand, plays a subordinate role. As the production methods do not differ significantly between foreign and domestic countries, the carbon footprint does not change. The stars remain the same. We hope this information helps you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

In which countries are Migros chickpeas (not just this product) grown? As we all know, the "origin" of the "product" is only there to cover up the actual origin.

Hello tvg, thank you for the question. The goods currently come from Italy. The origin is not specified because the origin can change during the year. This would mean that we would have to constantly replace the packaging material. In general, we always comply with the legal requirements when declaring the origin of our products. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Do some of the chickpeas come from China and are they packaged in Italy?

Hello Leonohard, thank you for your question. The chickpeas come from Italy and we also pack the product in Italy. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why is the smaller double pack organic and this one is not? Will this product also be available in organic soon? I would be very happy about that.

Hello Turboklaus, thank you for your inquiry. There are currently no plans to offer M-Classic large chickpeas in organic form. However, we have placed your request with the specialist department. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why don't my chickpeas become as soft when I cook them myself with dried chickpeas as the M-Clasic chickpeas in the dish?

Hello Michi2000, thank you for your question. You must soak and cook the chickpeas before eating them - only then are they safe and edible. This is because the toxin phasin breaks down during cooking. Soaking softens and swells the chickpeas, allowing them to cook more quickly. It also makes them easier to digest. And another question: why are the nutritional values of these ready-to-eat chickpeas and those from Alnatura (uncooked) so different? Thank you.

Hello Zimt_Vanille_Love, we are not sure if we understand your question correctly. Are you comparing the dried and canned M-Classic and Alnatura chickpeas or are you comparing the canned M-Classic chickpeas with the dried Alnatura chickpeas? The nutritional value of chickpeas does not change through cooking, except of course that the volume/weight increases slightly due to the water absorption (depends on the variety and cooking time). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros I have compared the nutritional values of these ready-to-eat chickpeas and the uncooked ones from Alnatura. These M-Classic have fewer calories, fat and carbohydrates. That's why I wondered why there is such a difference between the cooked M-Classic and the dry ones from Alnatura
