Hello Cello05, the best-before date is to be understood as a recommendation, compliance with which guarantees optimum quality. It indicates the minimum time until which an unopened foodstuff retains all of its characteristic properties when stored appropriately. This includes suitability for consumption as well as freshness, taste, appearance, color, smell and nutritional value. A loss of quality must be expected with longer storage. From a health point of view, it is generally safe to consume food even after the best-before date has expired. How long - weeks, months - a product can still be eaten after the best-before date has expired depends on the product, so that no general recommendation can be made. Provided the Chäs-Chüechli (best before 27.6.2025) have been stored appropriately, they should still be safe to eat. If in doubt, throw the product away.Best regards, your M-Infoline team
