It's absolutely cheeky that I have to be careful not to get any products with alcohol in Migros! No, I don't want my toddlers to consume added alcohol and no, it's definitely a fairy tale that it smokes when baking. This product and a few others are 100% non-compliant with cooperative rules but that doesn't seem to matter?
Hello Andi75SG, the M-Classic Chäschchüechli Gruyère only contain 6% white wine, the alcohol content after baking is negligible. According to legal regulations, the addition of alcohol (in the form of wine, schnapps, etc.) must be declared in the list of ingredients. For foods and beverages with an alcohol content of more than 0.5 percent by volume (or 0.5 percent by mass for non-liquid products), Migros (voluntarily) prints the notice "Alcoholic: Not suitable for children" (according to the applicable food regulations, this notice is only required for alcoholic beverages with an alcohol content of more than 1.2 percent by volume). For products that the consumer has to heat up before consumption (e.g. sauces, fondue or Chäschüechli!) the label can be omitted. Products specifically for children must not contain alcohol. Migros founder Gottlieb Duttweiler was not against all alcohol consumption in principle, but primarily against the sale of alcoholic beverages. There were and still are various products in Migros stores that contain small amounts of alcohol. For example, alcohol is used in certain chocolate products (truffles), cakes (Zuger Kirschtorte etc.), ice cream products (Grand Marnier soufflé etc.), sauces, ready-made fondues etc. The small - and, incidentally, openly declared - amounts of alcohol are not allowed. The small - and openly declared - quantities of alcohol contained in these products do not contradict the spirit of the Migros founder. We would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to our other Chäschüechli (M-Classic, M-Budget and Bio), which are made without white wine. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Would it be possible to make the product with free-range eggs? If you take the opportunity to experiment with the cheese, it shouldn't really be a problem to pay attention to the production of the eggs.
Hello Tarantoga Thank you for your comment. We are happy to take your suggestion on board. Our specialist department will look into this - but we can't promise you that it will be implemented. See you soon in your Migros! Best regards from your M-Infoline team
