The shopping baskets and carts at Migros Schmiede Wiedikon are extremely dirty (bird droppings in shopping carts, smeared shopping baskets). I reported this to the store manager months ago, but nothing has improved. So I have no choice but to avoid this store in future and walk a few hundred meters to the Coop. It's a shame really, but my health is more important to me...

Please excuse our late reply. We have informed the Migros Cooperative Zurich about your post and received the following reply for you:
We are aware of the problem with the shopping baskets and carts standing outside.
The shopping carts will be cleaned under high pressure next week and the shopping baskets will be replaced. Employees will check the shopping carts and baskets regularly. Checks will be stepped up with immediate effect and trolleys that fail the checks will be cleaned weekly with a high-pressure cleaner. With this measure, we guarantee our customers clean shopping carts and baskets at all times.
We hope that this situation will improve significantly in the future.
