Is the bird sand compostable?

The bird sand is of very good quality and rich, at least as good as the well-known competitor product from Vitakraft. What is not good in my opinion is the packaging. It is far too elaborate and not environmentally friendly. I think Vitakraft's paper bag is much better and produces less waste. My suggestion is clear: switch to paper bags. I suspect that this would also be economically interesting for Migros.

There used to be plastic bags, but they annoyed many customers and staff. The bags were unstable on the shelves and prone to damage. The general dissatisfaction with this product prompted us to take action. We had the choice between the cardboard packaging or a plastic bag. The sturdy cardboard packaging was clearly the better solution and also offers a certain degree of resealability. We have found a good compromise here between customer satisfaction and ecological packaging; after all, the packaging consists of almost 100% renewable raw materials.

I think the bird sand is great, but you should also be able to buy larger packs.
E.g. 5 KG or 10 KG

Unfortunately, there is not enough demand for large packs of bird sand and Migros has to concentrate on the most popular items due to limited shelf space.
The sand currently on offer is easy for customers to transport and dispense.

I think that 5 kg or even more is clearly too much. Personally, I wouldn't buy it. I would welcome it if it went up to 2.5 kg.
