I like the consistency of this Farmer, it's something different.
The only thing that bothers me is that it is supposed to be "without added sugar", but the main ingredient maltitol is simply a sugar substitute, is it really necessary to pump the bar full of E 965?
Hello maximilianmust1991@gmail.com
Thank you for your interest in our product.
Unfortunately, there are not many ways to make a cereal bar without added sugar. This is because a "binder" must be used to bind the dry components and produce a dough that is then cut into a bar. This is normally a glucose syrup. If you want to make a bar without added sugar, you can only use either maltitol syrup or a fruit paste (apple paste, pear fruit sweetener, etc.). Maltitol is often used for sugar-free or calorie-reduced foods, e.g. for diabetics. Maltitol is not harmful to health - but in large quantities it can have a laxative effect.

No added sugar...unfortunately the taste is also missing! Tastes very artificial. What is even more annoying: when eating the stem falls ...really nothing for me when I'm on the go and I never give it to the children again!
i don't know what's wrong with you. tastes really good and yet reasonably sweet. i like :-)
Hello guest
Thank you for your feedback. We have now removed this farmer's stalk from our range because demand for it has become too low.
Perhaps you'd like to try one of the following Farmer varieties as an alternative?
- Farmer Crunchy Natural with no added sugar
- Organic Farmer Junior Apricot & Apple
- Organic Farmer Junior Banana & Apple
We have developed the last two especially for children and they contain no added sugar.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

"No added sugar" is misleading here, as it does not suggest any additional sweetness. Ingredient no. 1 is maltitol - a sugar substitute (sugar alcohol). A more honest label would be "without granulated sugar".
Dear guest
Thank you for your message.
The use of the label "no added sugar" is clearly regulated by law, namely in the Ordinance on the Labeling and Advertising of Foodstuffs.
The statement "no added sugar" may be used if a product contains no added granulated sugar, dextrose, fructose or similar. This requirement is met by Farmer Soft Plum with no added sugar. Maltitol is added to Farmer Plum to achieve the sweetness that customers are used to from conventional Farmer Plums and for technological reasons. However, maltitol is not a type of sugar. Maltitol is a sugar substitute.
Sugar substitutes are a good substitute for sugar because of their sweetening power and volume. They are non-cariogenic and have a low calorie content. For all of these reasons, the statement "no added sugar" on the packaging of Farmer Soft Plum is not misleading.
We hope this information has been helpful and wish you a pleasant afternoon. Your M-Infoline Team

Not everything that is regulated is honest ;-)
