Hello Kafioma, thank you for the question. Carmine has always been used as a red colorant in this article. It is natural, very productive, inexpensive and available in large quantities. It is also heat-resistant, the plum preserves are pasteurized and are therefore stable over the entire shelf life. Beetroot juice as a possible alternative is not suitable for this product. However, Migros is currently investigating whether the colorant can be omitted completely. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team
