Hello, why isn't the origin of the tomatoes indicated on the packaging? There seems to be a legal ruling on this.

Hello heroncendredeslacs, thank you for your question. The product comes from Italy and we make it with Italian tomatoes. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The tomato puree contains 19g of sugar per 100g. Does this come from the processed tomatoes or is sugar added? On the Internet you can find very different, usually lower, figures on the sugar content of tomato puree.
Hello Gast999, the M-Classic tomato puree does not contain any added sugar. The term "of which sugar" in the nutritional information includes not only added granulated sugar, but all types of sugar contained in a product - including those that occur naturally in fruits/vegetables (fructose and glucose) or milk/yoghurt (lactose), for example. Whether sugar (or another sweetening food) has been added can be seen from the list of ingredients. The M-Classic tomato puree consists only of the ingredients tomato concentrate and table salt. The different information on the sugar content of tomato purees is partly due to the different concentrations of the purees. The M-Classic tomato puree is triple concentrated. Until recently, the product cost 75 Rp. Now 95 Rp. How can the increase in the price of this product be specifically explained?
Hello ioh, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, there is a price increase for certain raw materials due to the weather. This forces us to make various price adjustments. Depending on the growing region, for example, it was too dry or too wet and led to massive crop failures. Whenever possible, we bear the additional costs ourselves - unfortunately, in this case it was unavoidable to adjust the prices. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hi M-Infoline, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately it is quite broad and not specific to the product. I would like to know if general price increases under the 'natural events' category are reduced again when conditions are good?
Hello ioh, this is determined by the availability of raw materials. When there are enough goods available again, the price of the raw materials becomes cheaper again. We then pass these savings on to our customers (as with all price savings that we can achieve in the value chain). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello ioh, we cannot comment on the pricing of our competitors. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Hänsu, the tomato purée does not contain any ingredients or additives of animal origin and can therefore be described as vegan. However, it has not been certified as vegan and therefore does not carry a corresponding V-label on the packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Is the tomato purée that was produced in Italy made from Italian tomatoes? Or can they also be from China or elsewhere?

Hello Raphael1971, thank you for your question. The tomatoes come from Italy and the tomato puree is also produced in Italy. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros Why have you removed the small tins from the range? (2x70g) They were ideal for a single household, the puree from the tube should be consumed quickly, it simply generates unnecessary food waste!

Hello Migros-Chind1988, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the small tomato puree tins were not very popular with our customers. We have therefore removed them from our range. If the tomato puree tube is well sealed, it can also be kept in the fridge for a few days. We were happy to take your request for the reintroduction of small tomato puree tins to the specialist department. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

You have forgotten the most important part of the transformation: how much more concentrated is the "new" puree? (Elementary when cooking!!!)

Hello Lailai Thank you for your thoughtful comment! The people responsible did indeed make a mistake. We will adjust the label for future productions. The tomato puree is still triple concentrated. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hi Fiorins, thanks for your report! The photo will be edited soon. Unfortunately, the coronavirus emergency is slowing down all processes. We thank you for your understanding and patience. Best regards, Your M-Infoline team

Are the aluminum tubes actually coated on the inside or can the packaging possibly release aluminum into the product?
Hello GerryG, thank you for your question. The aluminum tubes are coated on the inside (epoxy-phenol coating for contact with food). This means that no aluminum can get into the product through the packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
