But in France, I like to buy vinegar at 8 or 11 or 12 or 14°, a little more reactive, price approx. € 1 - 2.50 /L ; more for household use than for food, of course. Are the ° degrees the same as the Swiss % ? And do you have these higher concentrations at Migros (Switzerland), harder to find in CH.

Hello LN74, M-Budget table vinegar still contains traces of alcohol. Vinegar always has a (low) alcohol content. By law, the alcohol content of fruit vinegar must not exceed 0.5% volume and that of white vinegar, 1% volume. Balsamic vinegar must not contain more than 1.5% alcohol by volume. In most cases, however, the actual alcohol content is much lower. The low alcohol content of vinegar poses no problem for children. With best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Anosh, we apologize for the late reply, unfortunately the clarifications took longer than expected. The F150c dye gives the vinegar a light brown color. Table vinegar without colorant would be completely colorless (like water). A slightly colored vinegar is preferred by customers. The antioxidant potassium metabisulphite counteracts the degradation of the colouring agent or is added to stabilize the color. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Rumors about a supposedly harmful effect on health have no scientific basis whatsoever. The use of additives in Switzerland is regulated by the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO). Legally, Migros is subject to the requirements of the Swiss Confederation. Should the federal government adapt its guidelines, Migros will of course comply with them.
