Dear Migipedia team, I wanted to ask what the packaging for M-Budget spaghetti is made of. I was able to gather from another question that it is made of polypropylene. There are different types of PP, which one is used? And is it made of 100% of this plastic?

Many thanks for the feedback! I have an additional question: Is the film produced in PP cast and BOPP layers or extruded together? And what about the printing? Thank you very much and sorry for the time-consuming question.

Dear Migros, in order to produce and throw away as little plastic as possible, would it be possible to gradually package your own products in recyclable cardboard? This spaghetti is certainly well suited (see packaging Barilla and Co.) to take the step towards plastic-free products :)

If they weren't budget, they would perhaps be packaged differently, but with budget the only thing that can be saved is the packaging. The price would have to be adjusted upwards.

Hello Fabio22, thank you for your suggestion. The film used as packaging for M-Budget spaghetti is made of polypropylene and is optimized in terms of the use of resources. This means that this film is very light per sales unit and requires much less material than cardboard packaging, such as that from Barilla, and is therefore lighter. The weight of the packaging is a key factor in the sustainability assessment. The recycling of polypropylene films is currently being developed. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, there are now 2 packages. The ingredients seem to have remained the same. Why are the cooking times on one pack 9-11 minutes and on the other 12-14 minutes?

Hello DiGa09, thank you for your inquiry. The packaging with the new design uses a different durum wheat semolina. This requires a different cooking time so that the spaghetti remains "al dente". Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why has the budget spaghetti in the packet become darker recently? They have taken on a slightly reddish-brown hue.

Hello Carina-5, thank you for your post. We have not made any changes to the recipe. However, the raw materials are of natural origin and may therefore vary slightly in color. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The M-Budget spaghetti are the best quality I know. Who is behind them? Are they overproduced by a well-known brand or are they produced in-house?

Hello kochmobil, thank you for your inquiry. The M-Budget spaghetti also comes from JOWA. Separate productions are carried out for the M-Budget product, so these are not waste products but normal productions. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello M-Infoline The spaghetti is "made" in Switzerland, but where do the ingredients come from? I would be very happy if they are from Switzerland. Thank you very much for your feedback!

Hello Zugazu, thank you for your inquiry. The durum wheat comes from Canada and the USA. Unfortunately, we cannot offer you any domestic ingredients for this product. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, how is this spaghetti made, as it obviously contains only durum wheat semolina? No water, no eggs - doesn't it need any liquid? ?

Hello Vera, thank you for your post. Water does not have to be declared, but it is included as an ingredient. However, eggs are not included, as these would have to be declared. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hoi budgetfan We are sorry that the spaghetti pack does not weigh the promised 1kg. Our specialist department has been informed of this and we apologise. You can of course return the pack together with proof of purchase (receipt, warranty certificate, invoice or Cumulus certificate) to the customer service department in your Migros store. If you no longer have proof of purchase, we cannot guarantee that the product will be taken back - in this case the store manager will decide. We wish you a happy Easter! Kind regards from the M-Infoline team

We apologize for any inconvenience. The price of the M-Budget Spaghetti 1kg with the item number 1041.020 was incorrectly labeled on the shelf at the Migros outlet in question. However, the amount was mutated correctly in the system. CHF 0.95 was charged for the product. Your M-Infoline team
