Hello, why have you changed the way you unscrew the corks?
They remain attached to the bottles now, after shaking the bottles of any juice, not only do we get them everywhere and the waste of product for the consumer! I dare to hope that there will be a comeback and that this is a mistake?
Hello fatije66, thank you for your comment. As part of its circular economy package, the EU has also adopted a plastics strategy, which among other things regulates the issue of single-use plastics. In addition to banning single-use plastic items such as straws and plastic stirring sticks, beverage containers are also targeted. The new EU directive stipulates that caps must remain attached to bottles even when opened. In the European Union, this rule applies to all beverage containers on sale from July 1, 2024. The primary aim is to prevent loose caps from ending up in the environment, and to recycle them at the same time as the bottles. Officially, the Swiss authorities have not yet issued any regulations to this effect. However, our suppliers and partners have informed us that, from the end of 2023, they will no longer manufacture non-compliant closures, which will thus disappear from the standard ranges of international manufacturers. As we buy our closures from them, we are obliged to use these new solidarity closures as well. Sincerely, your M-Infoline team
