What has been changed here? The taste and quality have deteriorated a lot and it gets hard very quickly. Even after buying it, the taste is simply no longer good. We have been buying this bread for years, but the last few months even the children don't like it any more. So I would like to know what is different now? The recipe? The sales clerks just say that they don't bake it themselves and therefore can't answer this and that they have also referred other customers directly to Migros. So we are not the first to ask.

Hello Enotra, thank you for the question. We're sorry that the bread no longer satisfies you as before! We have checked with the specialist department - there have been no adjustments. Unfortunately, we are therefore unable to conclusively explain the perceived deterioration in quality. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

It is a pity that the deterioration in quality is dismissed with such a simple answer. We are not the only ones to hold this opinion. It may be that this is how the specialist department perceives it. Unfortunately, the reality is different. It may be due to the transportation in our main branch or something else. If I could answer it, I wouldn't have asked you a question, but unfortunately the fact is that there has been an enormous deterioration in quality.

But the reviews show a different picture. My parents and many of the people I know also have negative things to say about it.

My previous rating was also great. Hence the question about the change. If you read through the questions, you will see that others have also noticed a change and then Migros took action. My father in Zurich is still satisfied, but something is no longer the same here.

Hello Enotra, thank you very much for your feedback. As already explained, no major changes have been made to the recipe. The amount of water added was reduced slightly, but this would result in less sponginess. However, since the end of September, the bread has been produced in Volketswil and no longer in Gossau. Due to the additional supra-regional transportation step, this means that the bread has to be baked earlier and therefore arrives slightly less fresh at the store. Immediately after the relocation of the production site, we received some feedback about the consistency, which led to the baking process being slightly optimized again. However, we informed the production managers about your report and urged them to pay particular attention to the degree of baking. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The bread is no longer fresh when it arrives at the store. It's so spongy that you almost can't cut it anymore

It only weighed 460 grams again today. How is that possible? I bought it at 9 o'clock, weighed it at 10 o'clock.

The typical Migros bread problem.

I don't understand what the branch has to do with it. Or does Thurgau get the ones that you supposedly sort out too easily?

Hello Kafioma, thank you for your feedback. We were happy to discuss your request with the FFB Group. The legal weight regulations under the Foodstuffs Act specify the weight that fresh bread must reach 8 hours after baking. No bread may weigh less than 30g. The M-Budget Ruchbrot 500g is baked the evening before. Therefore, the weight must not be less than 470g before delivery. On average, the declared weight of 500g must be achieved. The bread continues to dry out during the course of the day. It is therefore realistic that the bread will lose another 10g by 10 a.m. after the 8-hour rule. During production for delivery on 21.11.2023, the average weight was 514.3g. The lightest bread weighed 512.1g. The weight loss within 8 hours was 12.5g. On 23.11.2023, the M-Budget Ruch breads were weighed in production at 10:00 am. The weights were between 483.5g and 494.0g.The dough pieces are weighed into equal-sized pieces on the production line in a dough divider. This weighing process can result in occasional weight fluctuations. However, the fact that a loaf of bread weighing 500g weighs 460g at 10.00 a.m. is certainly the exception, but is within the legal tolerance. As a result of your complaint, the FFFB Group has once again made its employees on the affected line aware of the need to ensure that the dough pieces are weighed correctly.
We look forward to welcoming you again and wish you a good day. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why hasn't Gossau been baking the best bread properly for a few weeks now? Now it's "rubbery" like the competition!
Hello Wheeler, thank you for your message. The FFB Group, which produces M-Budget Ruchbrot, has also noticed the problem. They have therefore checked the oven settings again and adjusted them, so the problem should no longer occur in future and the bread will be available again in the usual quality. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Can you also check the weight again? It has only weighed 470 grams for weeks.

Dear Wheeler, thank you very much for the tip. The bread must be 500g when it leaves the Migros bakery. Over the course of the day, the bread loses water and therefore also loses a minimal amount of weight. It would help us a lot to know when you buy and weigh the bread. That way we can check whether it is actually "underweight". Thank you very much for your help. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Standard excuse, dough pieces have to weigh more, unfortunately this is the case with the entire bread range. Migros doesn't want to be able to do it...

Interesting that a problem has been noticed here with Ruchbrot and here they say that everything has remained the same. I'm glad Migipedia exists, so you can see the different answers.

Why does there have to be sooooo much flour at the bottom of the bread ???? I've been annoyed for years because they brush the flour down the drain! So many children are starving and starving in the world. I can send you pictures where you can see up to 4 mm of flour! Regarding the bag, I agree! I mean the bag where the smoked bread is inside! Sorry I'm not such a good PC user yet, I'm a bit old too !!!

This is also the case with other breads - unfortunately. Especially with pane passione. It doesn't taste good

Can't the bag be made bigger? It is unappetizing if the bread comes into contact with other food.
Hello Kafioma, thank you for your question. We measure the bag dimensions based on the bread products. This means that the loaves should generally fit into the bags provided. There are currently no plans to make any adjustments. However, we have gladly submitted your suggestion to the specialist department. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Kafioma, thank you for your message. Such a deviation is no longer within the tolerance range - we are sorry that the bread was too light. Can you tell us where you bought it? Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Kafioma, thank you very much for your feedback. Can you give us the date of purchase so that we can check the production documents? Best regards, your M-Infoline team
3 years ago
I'm sorry, but I don't remember that
Hello Kafioma, thank you very much for your patience. Without a purchase date, it is very difficult to analyze the exact cause. Our fresh breads are systematically and regularly subjected to random weight checks. This check is recorded on the production documents, which allows us to draw conclusions about the production in question even after the fact. Without a purchase date, it is unfortunately not possible to trace the production concerned and check the documents. The weight must always be within a certain tolerance range and on average above the weight on the packaging for the bread to be delivered. If the weight falls below the tolerance range, the bread must be rejected. Due to the tolerance range, it is therefore possible for a product to be lighter than stated on the packaging. On average, however, the target weight is always adhered to. For fresh bread, the legal weight regulations must be adhered to for up to 8 hours after the baking process. The older the bread is, the more it loses water/weight. If the product is also frozen once, the bread loses even more weight. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you Ammina_2 for sharing your opinion with us. We have checked with the bread department. We have developed a new packaging concept for all fresh breads in Migros, which we are now implementing step by step. We are now selling our rye and semi-white breads (250 g, 500 g, 1000 g) under the M-Budget brand. The recipes of the products have not changed, only the layout of the packaging. The breads are still available in the same quality. With this change, we want to make it easier to recognize the individual breads on the shelf. The color code, which stands for the degree of grinding, is still visible on the packaging. With M-Budget, we have chosen an attractive and well-known brand. We hope you continue to enjoy the bread as much as before. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Question: is it correct that the price of brown bread (500gr) has been increased from CHF 1.10 to CHF 2.20 from one day to the next and without any information. Purchased today at Migros Savièse.
Thank you in advance for your reply.
Dear customer,
Many thanks for your comment.
Our brown bread is priced at CHF 1.10.
Do you still have your receipt? If so, please check whether the bread has been scanned twice.
This is the only explanation we can find for this incident.
If this is not the case, we recommend that you contact Migros Savièse directly.
Best regards Your M-Infoline team

Hello M-Infoline!
I've been wondering for a long time why you don't have the spelt wreath in Migipedia? I buy this sick every week in my Migros, but I can't find it here...
