Hello Cyronika, thank you very much for your inquiry. The Swiss Food Information Ordinance sets out precise requirements for product labeling. There are different regulations regarding the country of production and the country of origin.
The country of production must always be indicated. We specify this when a food product has been entirely produced or sufficiently processed there. “Sufficiently processed” means that the product thereby acquires its characteristic properties—this corresponds to the meaning of “Elaboré en Suisse.”
We declare the origin of ingredients if an ingredient accounts for more than 50% by weight and the packaging suggests an origin that is not accurate.
We consistently apply these guidelines to our products. If no information can be found on the product, we treat the origin of the ingredients as internal information that we do not disclose.
An example: For an Italian tomato sauce, we always indicate the origin of the tomatoes if they do not necessarily come from Italy.
In our product range, you will find a rapeseed oil that is clearly labeled as a Swiss product. You can recognize this by the IP-SUISSE label and the Swiss cross logo on the front of the packaging.

Our nutritional labeling is essentially limited to the information required by law: energy value (in kJ and kcal), protein, carbohydrates, sugar, fat, saturated fatty acids, fiber, and salt. The vitamin and mineral content is voluntary and is usually only analyzed and stated if specifically indicated on the label (e.g., contains vitamin C, rich in vitamin C).
