Hello, sometimes the pack is a bit blown up although the date is still good. This happens quite often after I have bought the product and it has been in my fridge for a long time. Is this normal and can the product still be used or is it better not? If not, then it would probably be relevant for you to know that this happens very often - so far I have always thrown it away but it is getting too much. The same thing happens with the vegetable balls from M-Budget (I will write the question in there too) Thank you very much for your feedback

The swelling of the bags indicates microbial growth, which in turn is due to a break in the cold chain. The composition of this product requires special handling, including storage below 5 degrees Celsius. Even briefly exceeding this temperature can lead to the above-mentioned deviation or to product spoilage with gas formation.
It is no longer possible to trace where in the value chain this situation occurred.
As an immediate measure, we asked all areas involved to ensure that proper transportation and storage conditions are observed. We are continuing to pursue this issue.

Where do the ingredients (especially the soy) come from?
Hello Abue1234, thank you for your inquiry. We source the components of our vegan/vegetarian products from Switzerland or the surrounding countries whenever possible. The "M-Budget Plant Based Geschnetzeltes, 230g" consists of several raw materials that we source from our suppliers. As the origin of the raw materials can vary depending on market availability, raw materials such as soy protein are sourced outside Switzerland from countries such as Germany or Serbia.
