What is puree? How much water is in the product?
For 2Fr.- for 450gr. you can't expect much.
Hello Save-the-world, thank you for your question. The fish core consists of minced Alaska pollock, as declared in the list of ingredients. We use the declared water in the breading of the product for the so-called "wet coating" and the amount is 4% in the recipe. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Since the renovation of Migros Zumikon, many budget products are no longer in the range (fish sticks, Asian vegetable mix, peas, semi-skimmed milk, no or only some types of cheese and much more). This cannot be due to a lack of space. The products are offered in 3 - 4 rows. One row less could be used here and the budget products filled instead.
Many of the Zumiker residents are not among the top earners and are dependent on the budget products. In Elgg (also a MM) all these products are available. However, a trip on the Forchbahn costs CHF 7.00 each time.
Please, please, please, expand the M-Budget range in Zumikon. Thank you very much.

I meant Egg, of course, and not Elgg. Sorry.
Dear guest
Thank you very much for your comment.
We are very sorry that you are missing some M-Budget products in the new Zumikon store. The Migros Zumikon store has not only undergone structural changes, but the product range has also been adapted. The aim is to adapt the range even better to local customer needs. For example, the new Alnatura product line has been added. In addition, some M-Budget products have been removed from the range in favor of M-Classic products. We assure you that it is in our own interest to design the range in our sales outlets in such a way that we can fulfill all our customers' wishes.
Your satisfaction is important to us. We have therefore forwarded your request to the relevant specialist departments. It cannot be ruled out that one or two M-Budget products will be reintroduced to the Migros Zumikon range.
We look forward to your next visit to Migros Zumikon.
Kind regards from the M-Infoline team

I am very disappointed with these fish sticks! I've been lying in bed all day with nausea and stomach pains! Diarrhea and vomiting were the consequences of eating them.
Guest
Strangely enough, they smelled "fishy" but I didn't think anything of it... A mistake.

I think these fish sticks are just awful. There is no taste of fish and the breading comes off when you cook them in a frying pan. I will definitely not buy them again.
Hi stecki
Thanks for your comment. It's a shame that the M-Budget fish sticks didn't suit your taste. We will take note of this.
When preparing fish fingers, it is important to make sure that the fat or oil is already very hot before the frozen fish fingers are fried in the pan. Otherwise, small water bubbles may form, the fish will become soggy and the breading will not hold as well.
The production process for our M-Budget fish sticks is slightly different from others. With M-Budget fish sticks, the fish used is chopped and frozen in blocks so that it can then be cut into the shape of sticks for further processing. With Pelican fish fingers, for example, blocks are formed from fish fillets and processed in the same way as above. This difference explains the slightly different appearance and consistency.
Have a nice afternoon and best regards from the M-Infoline team

Why can't the fish sticks be made in the deep fryer like the competitor products, e.g. ala Dxxxxx or Cxxx?
Guest
Have you ever tried it?
I assume you're asking because the option isn't on the packaging.
But that doesn't mean that you can't try it yourself...
I suspect the oil would boil, bubble, steam, foam or whatever you call it, as the sticks made from minced fish that has been molded, frozen and then cut contain more water than the usual fish sticks made from whole frozen fish fillets!
Hello shepherd
Thank you for your inquiry about our M-budget fish sticks.
We cannot judge the preparation of products from other suppliers.
The method of preparation always depends on the composition of the product. Our M-budget fish sticks can only be prepared in a frying pan.
A different breading is used for our Pelican fish sticks, which allows the fish sticks to be prepared in a frying pan or in the oven.
We hope you find this information useful and wish you a good day.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

@M-Infoline
Wouldn't it be time for you to remove these fish sticks from your range?
There is a lot of negative feedback about these sticks.
Hello Bypass
The M-Budget fish sticks have always met our specifications at internal tastings. This product sells very well and many customers buy it regularly. This leads us to conclude that the majority of customers are satisfied with the price/performance ratio of this product.
We hope for your understanding and wish you a pleasant day.

Good for sale?
Do you have a shot?
Read through the comments!
Yes, logically they sell so well, because all people think it would be cheap then they buy it and later they realize it was bad!

We only managed to eat it on the second attempt. The first frying attempt was terrible, it looked like it had already been eaten once. The sticks fell apart completely and it simply looked inedible...
On the second attempt, I put my somewhat more patient husband at the stove and, lo and behold, with a lot of care, they held together more or less. But it takes a lot of care. In terms of taste, however, they were more on a par with the appearance of the first attempt...
Hello elchbaerli
Thank you for your feedback on our fish sticks. It's a shame that you don't like this product.
When preparing fish fingers, it is important to ensure that the fat or oil is already very hot before the frozen fish fingers are fried in the pan. Otherwise small water bubbles may form, the fish will be moister and the breading will not hold as well.

i was once again euphorically shopping in migros and fell into the memories. i saw a wonderful offer of fish sticks from m budget... the quantity and the price convinced me. we expertly fried the fish sticks in plenty of hot oil... they didn't fall apart... but the taste... disgusting and unacceptable. they didn't fall apart... but the taste... disgusting and unacceptable. luckily the fish sticks from the man with the beard and the pipe aren't much more expensive... but i won't be buying these from m budget again... it's a shame that migros sells them like this in different places =(
Dear guest
Thank you very much for your comment.
Both positive and negative feedback from our customers is very important to us. Where possible, we incorporate them into our range tests and product analyses.
Taste is fundamentally a very personal perception. We strive to appeal to as many people as possible with our products. However, this is a huge challenge and we don't always succeed. However, we are very happy to take your feedback on board.
We look forward to your next visit and wish you a pleasant day.

I fried these fish sticks again today after a long time. (L19N48, 31.12.13) However, you can't call them fried. These fish sticks were so moist that it looked more like I was steaming them. Turning was not possible, it all fell apart. The whole thing looked more like a leftover stew!
I read the answer from Infoline about the hot oil! I am aware of this and I heated the pan and the oil first. Other fish sticks turn beautifully brown and crispy and can even be turned with a fork without falling apart!
Hello casalinga66
We are sorry that our M-Budget fish sticks are not to your taste.
The production process for our M-Budget fish sticks is slightly different from that of our Pelican fish sticks. In the case of M-Budget fish sticks, the fish used is chopped and frozen in blocks so that it can then be cut into the shape of sticks for further processing.
With our Pelican fish sticks, blocks are formed from fish fillets and processed in the same way as above. This difference explains the slightly different appearance and consistency. The breading used is also not identical to that of our Pelican fish sticks.
During our control tasting, we tasted the fish sticks mentioned above. The fish sticks were of the quality we wanted.
We hope you will find other fish sticks in our wide range that you like better.

I've never eaten such bad fish sticks - I wanted to try something different. Just when the panada comes off and you see what the fish looks like, you don't want to eat it, let alone afterwards. What's more, it can only be prepared in the pan and not in the oven. That was truly a mistake....
Hello guest
Thank you for your feedback.
We are sorry that you did not like our M-Budget fish sticks.
The production process for our M-Budget fish sticks is slightly different to that of our Pelican fish sticks. With M-Budget fish sticks, the fish used is chopped and frozen in blocks so that it can then be cut into the shape of fish fingers and processed further. With our Pelican fish sticks, on the other hand, blocks are formed from fish fillets and processed in the same way as above. This difference explains the slightly different appearance and consistency.
When preparing fish sticks, it is important to ensure that the fat or oil is already very hot before the frozen fish fingers are fried in the pan. Otherwise small water bubbles can form, the fish will be more moist and the breading will not hold as well.
It is true that the M-Budget fish sticks cannot be prepared in the oven, this is due to the breading recipe used. Our Pelican fish sticks use a different breading recipe, so these fish sticks can also be prepared in the oven.
We hope that our answer has provided you with sufficient information and wish you a good day.
