10 questions

It has been hissing for a few days now when I first open the bottle, which is new. As if it contained Co2. When drinking it, it also feels a little like an Aproz medium, i.e. slightly carbonated, and the taste is also different. Aftertaste: like carbonated.
You can also see that small water bubbles move upwards after the first opening.
So my question is: was/is CO2 added to the water recently? (to make it last longer, for example?). If the answer to my question is no, I will be very happy, but will then test it myself.
Thank you very much for your answer.
With best regards

Hello Amanda1300, thank you for sharing your experience with us. To enable us to examine the manufacturing process in more detail, we would ask you to provide us with the best-before date and the batch number. You will generally find the latter next to the best-before date. It usually starts with the letter L or a mixture of letters and numbers. Thank you in advance for your valuable support. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you for the batch number starting with C . The expiration date is 04,2026, the number on the expiry date is C 087
then there is a gap and there is still 09:07
There is no L number anywhere on the bottle.
Kind regards

Hello Amanda1300, thank you very much for your efforts and your patience. We have consulted with the responsible specialist department. We have learned that they have carefully examined the retained sample of the batch in question. The examination did not reveal any deviations. We confirm that we do not add CO2 to Aproz water. The hissing sound when the bottle is opened is due to the added nitrogen. This makes the PET bottle more stable so that it survives transportation undamaged and is not too "bendy". We hope we have helped you with this information 😊. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What is the hardness of this mineral water?

Hello SimiSimi, thank you for your inquiry. The specialist department informs us that the total hardness is 117. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I would welcome the introduction of M-Budget water 6 x 0.5l like at Aldi!

Hello EEnergy, thank you for your suggestion. We value feedback. At the moment, there are no plans to introduce M-Budget mineral water in a 0.5 liter bottle. However, we will check this occasionally and see if something can be done in the future. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros

As you can see, there are some customers who don't like the taste of the water - and most of those who don't like it either won't speak up here, but will simply stop buying it. Will Migros do something about this undrinkable water? Or will they accept that many customers will no longer buy this water? - And if, like me, they no longer buy the water from Migros, they will also buy the rest of their food from another store. Migros is losing customers as a result, and I don't think Migros can afford to do that with today's competition. And instead of constantly giving the same answer here regarding "permanently high sales and therefore a new source of supply", all the writers here would be happy to hear something new and more positive from Migros!

Hello Adimirer
Thank you very much for your contribution.
We will forward all your feedback to the relevant specialist department. We currently have no new information on the change of source. We apologize for this and hope for your understanding. Your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros,

Please bottle the water from the old source again! It was the best water without CO2 far and wide, but this new taste is undrinkable!

Dear guest
It's a shame that you don't like the water from the new source.
The permanently high demand for M-Budget mineral water has pushed the current production at Aproz Source Minérales SA to its capacity limits. In order to secure the supply of the extremely popular M-Budget non-carbonated mineral water in the long term, those responsible at Aproz have decided to pump the water from the currently unused "Avalanche" spring. A new changeover is not planned at present.
We ask for your understanding and wish you a pleasant day. Your M-Infoline Team

can only agree with the last comments. the taste is *strongly* (not slightly) changed. You can't drink it like this.
Greetings from Birsfelden

Hello everyone
Thank you for your contributions. The permanently high demand for M-Budget mineral water is pushing the current production at Aproz Source Minérales SA to its capacity limits.
In order to ensure the long-term supply of the extremely popular M-Budget non-carbonated mineral water, the managers at Aproz have decided to pump the water from the currently unused "Avalanche" spring.
M-Budget mineral water without CO2 from the "Avalanche" spring has been available in Migros stores since the end of February.
Due to the lower mineralization, the taste has also changed somewhat. We ask for your understanding and wish you a pleasant day.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team

I recently noticed that the water in the PET bottles at Migros Ostschweiz (Winterthur) has been different for a few weeks now. Previously the water came from a source called "Sapphire", now it says "Avalanche".
For me personally, this is a big step backwards in terms of taste (and also in terms of mineralization).
So my question, dear Migros: is the change of source only temporary or permanent? If it is permanent, I would have to look for a new water, which would be a shame.
Thank you in advance

Dear M-Infoline team
Thank you for your reply. If you could tell me whether and in which mineral water I can still find the water from the sapphire spring, that would be great. This may also be the case in a slightly more expensive product.
Kind regards
bugatti

Hello bugatti
Thank you very much for your interest.
At Migros, we currently only have M-Budget sparkling mineral water from the Saphir spring.
We hope this helps you and wish you a nice day. Your M-Infoline Team

Hello,

The water has a really bad smell and taste. This is the first time I've bought this water. Can I still drink it?

Thank you

Dear customer,
We are very sorry that our M-Budget mineral water did not meet your expectations.
We are aware of the problem. The foreign taste is due to the presence of traces of organic sulphur compounds. On the one hand, this is due to the fact that part of the packaging equipment was not in a perfectly hygienic state, and on the other hand, because external parts of the equipment were rinsed with non-sterile water following contamination of the product. We apologize for this unfortunate incident.
Both problems have been resolved. The plant component has been cleaned and we now only use sterile water for rinsing. The bottles affected by the contamination pose no health risk!
Please send us your postal address via the contact form, including your reference number IN_ 1141596, so that we don't lose any important information about you.
Best regards Your M-Infoline team

I've been buying the water for a year now and it's always been great. A few days ago I went back for a refill. When I opened the first bottle it smelled awful! Kind of like petroleum... I tried it anyway, it tastes bitter! I don't know what it is, if the smell and taste is maybe from the plastic. I don't buy it anymore - I can't put my family through that

Guest

Exactly the same for me, I don't know what it is either, but I'm going to switch to other water because it smells terribly of some kind of gas/petrol !!!! In my opinion, Migros should have noticed something long ago.
ps: Water in a PET bottle is around 15 times more harmful to the environment than when it comes out of the tap...

Hello guest
We are sorry that you are no longer satisfied with the M-Budget mineral water.
We are aware of the problem: The strange smell is due to traces of organic sulphur compounds. This could have happened because a filling element was not in a perfectly hygienic condition and external parts of the system were rinsed with non-sterile water after contamination of the product. We apologize for this.
Both errors have been rectified. The part of the system has been cleaned accordingly and sterile water is now used for rinsing. There is no health risk with the affected bottles!
Please send us your address via the contact form. Please be sure to include the reference number IN_ 1136769, otherwise we will lose important information.

Unfortunately this water smells bad!!! I wonder if it's the bottle/material? In any case, you can fill it in a glass and it still tastes "funny". For the nose it is unbearable. SHAME!!!

Guest

unbelievable, this water bought at the end of JUNE/beginning of July stinks of rotten eggs. Migros does not react at all!!!

Dear guest Unfortunately, we are aware of this problem and have taken immediate action.
