My cousin abroad (I send the chocolate) is allergic to soy. Which lecithin is used here? And why is it only mentioned so vaguely in the list of ingredients? Until now, it always said soy lecithin or sunflower lecithin. This is important information for allergy sufferers and would be very helpful!
Hello BeKoBo, the chocolate contains sunflower lecithin. If soy or egg lecithin were used, this would be evident from the list of ingredients. Soy and eggs are among the most common allergens. Ingredients and additives containing egg and soy - if present - must always be declared (e.g. like this: Lecithin (from egg) or soy lecithin), even if only very small quantities are involved.
