Hello, I bought a carton but threw away the packaging when packing it. I am now in Cartagena and have no idea how much milk/water I need for a carton. Maybe someone can help me .... Thanks for your help

Good morning Edy_CartagenaPractical tipsPreparation for 1 bag (approx. 3 portions of 270g each prepared). Bring 5dl of water with half a teaspoon of salt and approx. 15g of fresh butter to the boil in a covered saucepan. Add 175ml cold milk and remove the pan from the heat immediately. Pour the potato flakes into the pan and spread with a ladle so that all the flakes are well coated. After about 1 minute, stir gently (do not beat) until the mashed potatoes are nice and smooth and fluffy.Source: https://www.leshop.ch/de/supermarket/home(smt:product/125988)?utm_campaign=lead&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=migipedia.migros.ch Best regards Frederica

Hello Edy_Cartagena, thank you for your question. Add 175 ml cold milk and immediately remove the pan from the heat. Pour the potato flakes into the pan and spread with a ladle so that all the flakes are well coated. After about 1 minute, stir gently (do not beat) until the mashed potatoes are nice and smooth and fluffy. We wish you a good appetite! Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Can't you just write the nutritional information per 100g of powder on the product and not use any already prepared recipes? Now it is impossible to draw accurate conclusions, whether I prepare it differently or according to the recipe, because in the given recipe, for example, it is not clear which milk is used...

HelloErrorWarrior, we consider the information per 100g of prepared product (the product was prepared with whole milk) to be more consumer-friendly. The following approximate values can be calculated per 100g of dry product: Energy value: 1462 kJ 345 kcal , fat content < 0.5 %, of which saturated fatty acids < 0.5 %, carbohydrates 75 %, of which sugar 0.5 %, dietary fiber 8 %, protein 7 %, salt 0.13 %. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I also always need the dry product information, as I proceed differently for vegan preparation.

Hello, is this product suitable for vegans?

Hello jordlae_vegan Thank you for your inquiry. The product does not contain any animal substances. The E-numbers are also of purely vegetable origin. MB potato flakes are therefore ideal for a vegan diet. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

However, a vegan diet should also be a healthy diet and not contain additives that destroy vitamin B. Vitamin deficiency is a serious matter. However, the symptoms have long been known: https: //de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thiamin#Mangelerscheinungen_.28Hypovitaminose.29 "Thiamine, vitamin B1 or aneurin is a water-soluble vitamin from the B complex with a faint but characteristic odor and is particularly essential for the functioning of the nervous system. If vitamin B1 is no longer supplied to the body for approx. 14 days, 50% of the reserves are used up. It is also popularly known as the mood vitamin."

Cooked jacket potatoes contain just 0.07 (comparison: green peas 0.30 and sunflower seeds a whopping 1.90) mg thiamine/100 g. Thiamine is destroyed by cooking and dissolves very well in water, so even the non-sulphited boiled potato would contain practically nothing. What is more positive about M-Budget mashed potatoes is that they contain three different reducing agents, only one of which is sulphite, otherwise ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid esters. Furthermore, as I never eat only mashed potatoes, even for a single meal, I do not consider the sulphite in the potato flakes to be critical (for me). I eat wholemeal bread, oatmeal, peas, sesame seeds, soybeans (e.g. edamame), ... everything has much more thiamine than the little bit from the cooked potato.
