Some general information about emulsifier E 471: this emulsifier E 471 can theoretically also be of animal origin. In practice, however, the situation is different: today it can be assumed that emulsifiers or other fat-based additives are of vegetable origin. Our own companies (Bischofszell Nahrungsmittel AG (BINA), Chocolat Frey, Delica AG, ELSA, Mibelle Group Nutrition (Mifa) and Midor AG each use the plant/synthetic variant for additives that can be of plant/synthetic or animal origin.
