When will paper/cardboard packaging be as environmentally friendly as sugar packaging?
Hello blastingcap, thank you for your question. At Migros, several experts work every day to optimize our packaging and test alternative materials. Plastic is replaced whenever it makes sense to do so. However, plastic packaging often has a better ecobalance than packaging made from other materials, which is why our aim is not to do away with plastic altogether. Let's take an example: a kilo of paper is certainly more environmentally friendly than a kilo of plastic, but a lot more paper is generally needed for packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
