Good day
I really like the taste of this hard cheese. But does this product also take animal welfare into account? Or do I have to assume that these animals never get to eat a blade of grass? Thank you for your feedback, mfg

Thank you very much for your comment. We are pleased that you like the M-Budget hard cheese.
The cheese is produced in Switzerland. The dairy farmers are therefore subject to Swiss laws and animal husbandry regulations.
The dairy products and cheese produced by our supplier in Switzerland are made exclusively with Suisse Garantie milk. Dairy cow husbandry in Switzerland is subject to strict legal regulations.
It is mandatory in Switzerland for animals to have regular access to the outdoors. Around 80% of Swiss cows even have access to the outdoors all year round. Dairy cattle feed in Switzerland is predominantly based on meadow fodder. Only a good 20% of the feed consists of maize or concentrated feed.

This is 1-A Emmental cheese brought in through the back door. In the days of the cheese union, I found this quality once in Finland, i.e. export cheese. Here in Switzerland, only second-class rubbery Emmental was on offer. Switzerland is a money country.
