Do the hot dogs have a casing/gut? Nothing on the package...

Without a casing, a sausage would not hold together at all. At least during production, EVERY sausage has a casing, even if there are varieties that have to be peeled for consumption (e.g. various types of salami). Whether the customer has to do the peeling or it is done during production depends on the start of the sausage and its use.
With wieners in particular, the casing is the component that makes the sausages "crunchy".
Because I have already bought these wieners, I can also tell you from experience: YES, these wieners have a casing.
I can't say whether they are artificial or made from natural casing, I don't know. But I would guess that they are artificial casings, as the ingredients of an animal casing made from intestines should probably have been included in the list of ingredients.
In addition, sheep casings are mainly used for small sausages like the Wiener and I think that's too expensive for an M-Budget product to sell so many sausages for just 3 francs.

Dear guest
Thank you for your inquiry.
It is correct that these hot dogs are filled in a so-called peelable casing, which is peeled off before packaging, so there is no casing or casing left on the finished sausage.
We hope to be able to answer your question and wish you all the best from the M-Infoline team.

@beta92
There are indeed sausages that have never "seen" a casing.
These are "produced" directly in hot water.

Hello, I also noticed the taste and the bad smell when you heat the sausages, but it's only recently that they've become inedible. has the recipe been changed?

Hello guest
We regret the incident. However, the specialist department cannot make any clarifications without precise details.
We therefore need the M-Data and the LOT number from you. The LOT number either starts with an L or is a mixture of numbers and letters.
Best regards

Today I noticed when I had to buy another supply for the two rascals (Labrador) that there are packs which are not properly vacuumed, i.e. they still have air in them, you can feel it when you touch the packaging.
So be careful which one you buy.

Hello brandstoff
Thank you for your entry.
We regret that you sometimes come across packaging that is not fully vacuum-sealed. We have reported your comment to the manufacturer, who has been instructed to take note of this during production so that this can be prevented.
We look forward to your next visit to Migros and wish you a pleasant afternoon.
