Is this sugar vegan? Respectively, are no bones used for bleaching or other animal products used in its production?
Hi apricis, there are always concerns about white sugar that it might be bleached with animal charcoal and therefore not vegan. However, this processing method is not used for sugar that is produced from sugar beet in Switzerland or the EU. If you buy Swiss or EU sugar made from sugar beet, you are on the safe side.
M-Budget fine crystal sugar is vegan and is not bleached with animal charcoal.
