Dear Sir or Madam
I am interested in your product and have a few questions:
Does the product contain animal ingredients? If so, from what source do they come and are there any points of contact with animal ingredients during production?
Are E-numbers included in the formulation?
Does the product contain alcohol or alcoholic derivatives, or is alcohol used in the manufacturing process?
I would be grateful if you could give me more information on this. Thank you very much for your support.
Yours sincerely
Hello uozsoy36, thank you for your inquiry. The dark chocolate from M-Budget does not contain any animal ingredients. We use the emulsifier lecithin (E322) as part of the processing, but no alcohol. We hope this information is helpful for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline Team

Rainforest Alliance certified why do you participate why do you want to poison us ?
Hello Renegyolcs, thank you for your question. The Rainforest Alliance is an international non-profit organization with more than 30 years of experience in the sustainability sector. Their primary mission is to protect nature and improve the lives of agricultural and forestry producers. To fulfill their mission, it is important that they cooperate with various alliance partners around the world. Only together can we work to protect forests, biodiversity and the environment, and improve the livelihoods of producers who grow important commodities such as cocoa in the tropics for global consumption. We assure you that our suppliers generally have to comply with very strict food safety standards and are regularly inspected. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

On the packaging under MCHECK it says: "Responsible cocoa cultivation". However, I can't find any information at all about responsible cocoa farming at www.m-check.ch. I also don't know which country the cocoa comes from. I want to be sure that I don't buy cocoa from the Ivory Coast, as there are massive problems with child labor/child slaves there.
Hello DDaniel, thank you for your message. We are happy to inform you that our investigations are still ongoing. We will get back to you as soon as we receive a response from the specialist department. We ask for your patience. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Hello DDaniel, thank you for your question. The M-Check on Migros packaging has evolved in recent years. While the first generation of the M-Check provided information on responsible production, packaging or raw materials, the second generation provides information on the specific environmental impact (climate score, packaging score, animal welfare score). The packaging you have in front of you still shows the first generation M-Check. We want to do our bit for the environment and have therefore decided not to destroy packaging that still bears the "old" M-Check. At www.delica.ch you can find more information about NH for cocoa. On www.m-check.ch, additional information on climate is listed for individual articles, but no more. When we switched to the new M-Check with the stars, we took the "old" information from the Webhub. That's why you can no longer find it.
One more thing about cocoa: many of our chocolate recipes use cocoa beans from the Ivory Coast. We have been working exclusively with the Necaayo cocoa cooperative in the southwest of Côte d'Ivoire for over 10 years. We source our Ivorian cocoa exclusively from around 600 cocoa producers who are members of this cooperative. The cocoa farmers are Rainforest Alliance certified and benefit from our cooperation in many ways. We regularly visit our partners on site to get an idea of how the cooperative and cocoa production are developing. From this experience, we can assure you that our cocoa from Côte d'Ivoire comes from responsible production and that we can largely exclude the known abuses such as child labor and deforestation of rainforests in this region. Is this chocolate edible for vegetarians?
Hello ItsMeBelinda, M-Budget dark chocolate is vegetarian in terms of the recipe. However, it is not vegan-certified and therefore does not bear any corresponding labeling on the packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
