Does this dental floss contain PFAS or Teflon?
Hello ZuckerZebra, thank you for your inquiry. The M-Budget dental floss is Teflon & PFAS free. Best regards, your M-Infoline Team
Hello M-Infoline,
You say that M-Budget dental floss contains neither Teflon nor PFAS. However, the composition on the back says PTFE (see photo).
A simple internet search reveals that "PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is a fluoropolymer known for its exceptional properties, including resistance to heat and chemicals, and its low coefficient of friction. It is more commonly recognized under the brand name Teflon, registered by the DuPont company".
PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is a PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkylated substance)".
So avoid it if you want to limit PFAS contamination...
Hello uyan, thank you very much for your review and the photo. It is correct that the ingredient is currently still listed on the back of the packaging. However, this is an error. The packaging is already being revised. We are pleased to confirm that M-Budget dental floss is PTFE-free. Sincerely, your M-Infoline team
Hello,
It's been 3 months since you mentioned that this floss would no longer contain PTFE and that it was a packaging error.
I've been looking at the compositions for a while now and they've never changed. Today, 20.05.2025 in Biel, I took a photo of an m-budget dental floss pack. The composition still says PTFE (see photo).
I saw in a recent comment that you suggest other models of dental floss... Migros should take a stand on this...
Thank you for your reply.
I would also be interested in this. Where is the answer from the M-Infoline or a statement from Migros?
Hello monika_zweygarth, thank you for your message. It is correct that PTFE is still listed as an ingredient on the current packaging of M-Budget dental floss. However, this is a mistake. We can assure you that the M-Budget dental floss is already PTFE-free. The packaging has already been revised. Due to existing stocks, the modified packaging is expected to go on sale at the end of the year. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Thank you for your reply!
I'll definitely be back in early 2026.

Why are there no refill rolls for dental floss? That way you wouldn't have to throw away so much plastic every time...
Where can you get refill floss? I haven't seen it anywhere
Hello b_bob, thank you very much for your input. We are very happy to take this on board, but pure refill rolls would probably be a very niche item. Of course, Migros is always striving to optimize its packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Thank you for the answer. I imagine it to be like "Kleberli rolls". You've only been able to buy the refill rolls for a long time...
