On the back it says "Preheat oven to 200°" what does this mean? Top/bottom heat or convection?

Hello PrettyInPink_, thank you for your question. Our clarification revealed that the indication 200°C refers to preparation in a fan oven. We will explicitly mention this information on the packaging in future. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Can you also make them in the oven

At the bottom of the product information it says: bake, roast or deep-fry.

Hello Ba_la, you can bake the M-Budget Chicken Nuggets in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

No matter what I put in the oven, it always goes in the cold one, because electricity costs money and most people in oh-so-rich Switzerland have less and less of it.

Hello Ba_la, of course you must not preheat the oven. However, the baking time will then be extended by 1-2 minutes at most. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Why does Migros have chicken nuggets with meat from Brazil and the budget version uses meat from Thailand?

Hello INAG, we offer chicken meat from these two countries in order to guarantee availability. There is also a need for cheap meat in Switzerland. We cannot offer a chicken product made from Swiss meat at the M-budget price. However, this does not mean that we compromise on animal welfare. Migros pays attention to animal welfare in all countries. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello M-Infoline team. Raised according to "Swiss animal welfare regulations" sounds good. But what does it actually mean? How are the animals kept? How are they slaughtered? How regularly and by whom are the on-site inspections carried out?

Hello Spooky, thank you for your inquiry. You can find a detailed overview of the animal welfare requirements for each animal species in the document below. Our suppliers must be self-certified and inspected by an independent and certified inspection body. The certification body ProCert is responsible for Migros itself. https://generation-m.migros.ch/dam/jcr:1b63a50d-1c1e-48d4-9865-4530c56b836b/170728%20%C3%9Cbersicht%20Richtlinien%20pro%20Tiergattung.pdf Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, Link doesn't work?

Hi Meera7738, the link was relevant at the time of the post 3 years ago. There's been a change since then. You can find the info here: https://corporate.migros.ch/de/nachhaltigkeit/strategie-ziele/grundsaetze-richtlinien/tierwohl.html. The page is not available in English. First meat from Brazil, now from Thailand, which should be banned. Why no meat from Switzerland?

Hello clini. Thank you for your message. The chicken meat from Thailand used in the product is reared, kept and slaughtered in accordance with Swiss animal welfare regulations. This is also noted accordingly on the front of the packaging. Unfortunately, it is not possible to offer a product made from Swiss meat at the price of M-Budget Chicken Nuggets. In this way, we are meeting our customers' need for inexpensive processed products made from chicken meat. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
