I see that there is microplastic in it (polyquaternium-7), I wanted to ask if there are also shower gels that are a little more expensive but have no microplastic in them. LG Jannick
Hello Janni, thank you for your inquiry. We are happy to confirm that the M-Budget shower gel contains neither microplastics nor synthetic polymers. The "polyquaternium-7" you mentioned is an ingredient. The latter is expressly authorized by the entry in the European EC Cosmetics Regulation following an evaluation by the Scientific Advisory Committee of the EU Commission (SCCS) and is subject to a restriction with regard to purity criteria and maximum concentration. In this context, we can assure you that every single cosmetic product is proven to be completely harmless to human health by means of a toxicological report - a so-called safety report. Without such a report, which confirms the safety of a cosmetic product for its intended use, it may not be sold. Our products have all been tested accordingly and meet all requirements. We hope this information will alleviate your concerns. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Do I understand correctly that it is now produced in Poland instead of Switzerland? Is the recipe still the same?
Hello Dark, thank you for your question. It is correct that we produce this item in Poland. We check the best price-performance ratio for our products during procurement. The high quality and formulas remain unchanged regardless of the production location. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hi, Since the M-Budget liquid soap is no longer available (will be re-sorted to M-Classic), and I can't get a good consistency liquid soap by grating bars of soap, I would like to know how the shower gel (currently) still available differs from the liquid soap, in particular whether it is as effective in destroying viruses and can be used instead of https://migipedia.migros.ch/en/512026300000-archived-1. Thank you!
Hello Cinderella1925, thank you for your question. When switching from M-Budget to M-Classic soap, only the layout changes. The price and contents remain the same. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Hello, thank you for your efforts! Unfortunately, this does not answer my question. It's about the difference between this shower gel here = article number 513851100000 and the soap = article number 512026300000. Can the shower gel replace the soap to bridge the time until the soap (in whatever design) is available again? Does this shower gel have the same virus-cleaning power as the soap? Many thanks in advance for any clarification!
Hello Cinderella1925, there is basically no difference in terms of effect. All surfactant products or washing products (bar soaps, liquid soaps, shower gels, shampoos) effectively remove bacteria and viruses, including Covid19 viruses, from the skin. When washing your hands, make sure that they are washed for a sufficiently long time (approx. 20-30 seconds). Soap and other wash bars are of course also effective, but are not as hygienic, as bacteria from the hands could remain on the soap bar. Washing products and surfactants (the foaming and washing substances in the products) not only remove general dirt, but also viruses and the liquid they are in from the surface (e.g. hands) and take them with them into the rinsing water. They also damage the protective shell of viruses so that they are no longer active. It is not important exactly which surfactants these are. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why are microplastics (polyquaternium-7) used, which find their way back into our bodies via the groundwater?
Hello surferzh, thank you for your post. It is essential to distinguish between microplastics and soluble polymers. Migros takes the issue of water pollution by microplastics very seriously. We have already acted accordingly and taken the necessary steps. Migros has included the corresponding ban on microplastics in its specifications for suppliers of cosmetics (published in version 5 of 17.9.2014), which applies to all products of all own brands. Our own industry, Mibelle AG, has decided to replace microplastics (plastic exfoliating particles) in all cosmetics and toothpastes with alternative particles of natural origin. The formulas have already been adapted. Plastic exfoliating particles are no longer used. Soluble polymers have nothing to do with the microplastics issue. The term "liquid plastics" for these soluble polymers is misleading. In common parlance, plastics are solid materials. However, soluble polymers are present in dissolved or emulsified form, are colloquially liquid and therefore do not form particles. Soluble polymers are used in conventional cosmetic formulations as fillers, binders or film formers. They have a very high skin compatibility and a low allergy potential. These substances have been used in skin and hair care products for a long time and with good results. The thematic linking of soluble polymers or "liquid plastic" with the microplastics issue mixes two topics that have nothing to do with each other. The effects of microplastics in the environment are not present in soluble polymers. The acrylate polymers and other soluble polymers mainly used in cosmetics are biodegradable, and they are completely eliminated from wastewater in sewage treatment plants, so they do not accumulate in the environment - unlike microplastic particles. They are also completely non-toxic to aquatic organisms, but if you want to avoid soluble polymers altogether, we recommend certified natural cosmetics. We have the I am Natural Cosmetics line in our range, which might suit you. We hope we have helped you and send you our best regards, your M-Infoline team
