Cannot be used in a hair salon.
Question for professionals, colorists or very experienced.
"The idea is to have a "connection" that's not too dark, between regrowth and length:
- Long hair, mid-back.
- No ttt. or coloring for over a year.
- Natural base: dark brown, with a few white roots.
- Lengths: long bleached very light blond, then recovered dark brown (over a year ago), now chestnut to light chestnut (color resulting from washing for a whole year)".
Q. Would this shade (which seems very dark to me) and brand be suitable for re-doing a whole head of hair in "medium chestnut" or "chocolate", but without too much red (red/orange already stands out too much when bleaching my natural hair)"?
OR ...
Q. Should I use 2 different colors?
- 1 color for the roots, ~ 14cm of natural regrowth (dark-brown color and some white roots).
AND
- 1 different color, for the old ~ 20cm lengths (long bleached light-blond, then, 1 year ago, re-colored dark-brown), now dark-brown"?
Thank you in advance Migros and members, for any useful help provided! :-)
Hello Abt1, we'd be happy to check with our supplier on your behalf. This color provides good coverage for white hair. It strengthens and intensifies brown tones and gives an even chocolate color. It's perfect for medium lengths and ends, and reduces discoloration.
If you're worried about excessive red/orange tones, be aware that warm brown tones (like chocolate brown) can sometimes appear slightly reddish on previously lightened hair. If you prefer a more neutral brown, color 500 Light Châtain (item number: 514838400000) might be a better option.
Should I use two different shades for roots and lengths? One shade should suffice (323 Dark Chocolate), but it's how you apply it that makes the difference:
- First apply the color to the roots of the hair and leave for the recommended time to ensure complete coverage.
- Distribute over the lengths for the last 5-10 minutes to revive color without saturating already-colored ends. If the ends are very porous due to previous bleaching, they may absorb more pigment and the shade may become slightly darker or warmer. In this case, you can dilute the color with a conditioner for the ends to lessen the effect.
Tips for maintaining your hair color:
- Use a shampoo and conditioner for color-treated hair to maintain the intensity of the hue.
- Avoid shampoos that can fade hair more quickly.
- If you notice that the color becomes too warm after several washes, consider applying a color mask in a cooler shade or a shine product. Sincerely, your M-Infoline team
Thank you for your helpful and comprehensive reply. Your suggestions and recommendations are invaluable for my future hair color purchases.
Many thanks again to Migros and the people concerned by my request!
May I ask again what you mean by:
"...the application of a coloring mask in a cool shade or a shine product"?
What products might these be, and does Migros offer them in its range (shades and references)?
Hello Abt1, thank you for your question. We recommend the Brillance Glossing Transparent product. It allows you to revive your hair color at home, care for it and make it shine. Sincerely, your M-Infoline team
