Since I've been alive and allowed to drink alcohol, I've been eating Kirschstengeli, which are also available with cognac. They are delicious and have always been fine. So I can only recommend them.

I love them as a snack in front of the TV or as a gift. But make sure you check the best-before date when you buy them! I bought a large pack yesterday and only saw when I got home that they were close to the best-before date. There's not a drop of cherry left. Unfortunately only expensive chocolate left.
