Shelf life date Why does the Kult Ice Tea Light Lemon suddenly have such a long shelf life? When I bought the Icetea in the promotion, the expiration date was approx. 4 months. Now in the promotion it has a shelf life of 11 months. Has something been changed in the recipe?

Tests at the supplier have shown that the best-before date can be extended to 1 year without any loss of taste or quality. Why is the Migros Light cult ice tea not available in 5-liter cartons like the others?

Has anything been changed in the recipe? I have been drinking this ice tea for a very long time. But the newly bought pack of 10 all taste very, very funny ... as if it had expired ... a real shame. Now I'm sitting on 4 10-packs that no longer taste good.

The expiration date is 07.10.23 and the lot number is 1202.405

Hello Sweetsummer, thank you for the pictures. The number 1202.405 is the item number. The lot number in this case is the number after the expiration date "13:11". :-)
Thanks to your information, we were able to make further clarifications. Quality Assurance has investigated the case and discussed it with those responsible for production. We were unable to find any discrepancies in our production logs. The inspection lot for this batch was also in order. We can also assure you that there were no changes to the recipe.
During production, the tea is freshly brewed and checked several times for flavor characteristics by trained personnel. We also carry out various measurements such as dry matter, pH value and total acidity. We cannot completely avoid minimal sensory differences due to variations in the raw materials or the production process (tea infusion).
The taste of the product may also change slightly during the shelf life. In the first few weeks of storage, there may be a slight adjustment in taste, and the flavors only develop over time - especially in the first 4-6 weeks after production. Why isn't there a light version of the peach iced tea? Would certainly also be very tasty :)

Why isn't the light version of the cult iced tea available in pet bottles? Not everyone wants a sugar overdose every time. Zero is not an alternative because the taste is far too chemical.

Is it safe to drink large quantities (4 liters) of Ice Tea Light per day?
Hello LeBlitz Thank you for your inquiry Based on current knowledge, it makes no sense for physically inactive people (and that's most of us J) to drink more than 2 liters of water a day, because there are no health benefits. The current recommendation is to drink 1-2 liters of non-alcoholic and unsweetened liquid per day. The fluid requirement should primarily be met with water or mineral water; other suitable alternatives are unsweetened or lightly sweetened fruit and herbal teas. Just like sweetened drinks, light drinks should also not be consumed in excess due to the sweeteners and acids they contain (the acids can be harmful to teeth if consumed in excess), and the sweet taste of light drinks can also increase the craving for sweets. Hello LeBlitz Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, the caffeine content of our iced tea is not analyzed, so we cannot provide any precise information. In purely mathematical terms, one liter of iced tea contains approx. 50mg of caffeine. Hello, I would like to know whether the product or the individual ingredients infusion of black tea and rose hips/carcade blossoms (extract content: 1.3 g/L), or lemon juice from concentrate 3.5%, has been clarified with gelatine? Are there any traces of gelatine in the end product?
