The packaging says "sugar-free", but the list of ingredients shows maltodextrin and the nutritional table states that the product contains 13g sugar/100g. So is this product not sugar-free?
Hello _Melii, thank you for your inquiry. We will be happy to clarify your request with our specialist department and get back to you asap. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Hello _Melii, thank you very much for your contribution. Knorr vegetable bouillon is sugar-free. If a product is declared as sugar-free, it is subject to the FDHA Ordinance on Food Information and may not contain more than 0.5 g of sugar per 100 g or 100 ml of the prepared product. The product we offer also complies with this requirement. Maltodextrin is not used here for sweetening and only has a very low sweetening power. Maltodextrin ensures that the bouillon dissolves well during preparation and has good pourability during production. The sugar content in the nutritional table on the packaging is stated as <0.5g per 100ml of the prepared bouillon. However, a different declaration is given for our product on the Migros website. There, the information refers to 100g of the unprepared product, so the sugar content appears higher, but is also less than 0.5% in the prepared product. The declared sugar content is not added granulated sugar, but mostly natural sugars from the raw materials. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
