Why does the flavoring clump so much? I can't even crush it anymore. Wasn't stored above the stove.

Hello Bone_4133, thank you for your question and the photos. The spice can clump together if it is stored in excessively humid conditions. The product is hygroscopic due to its composition, which means that it can absorb water from the surrounding air and then clump together. If the product is used moderately and stored in locations with high humidity, its flowability is impaired. However, seasoning over steaming food, a poorly closed lid or wiping the strainer insert with a damp cloth will also cause the product to lose its pourability. Once the spice has absorbed water and clumped together, new clumps will quickly form again after the tubers have been crushed. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, why has Aromat clumped so much in recent months (or even years)? It seems to me that it didn't clump so much before...

Hi Dacodac, thank you very much for your message. We're sorry you've had this experience with our Aromat on several occasions.

Aromat can form lumps if stored in too damp a place. Due to its composition, the product has hygroscopic properties, i.e. it tends to absorb moisture from the air and form lumps. If the product is used infrequently and the humidity in the room is high, its flow quality may be affected.

Moreover, if you pour the spices over a bubbling pan, close the lid incorrectly or wipe the perforated surface with a damp cloth, the product will also tend to clump. Once yourAromat has absorbed water and formed lumps, new pellets will quickly reform even if you crush the first ones.

If you have production data for the sprinkler in question, such as minimum durability date and batch number, please let us know. The batch or load number is usually found next to the product's shelf life date, and usually begins with the letter L. It can also be a combination of letters and numbers. We'll be happy to clarify this for you. Sincerely, your M-Infoline team

Thank you very much for your comprehensive reply! I'll try to take a photo of the product I have at home and submit it to you. Sincerely!

I'd like to point out that Aromat is stored in a closed cupboard in the kitchen, away from heat and light (and a priori from humidity), and that it's the only product, from memory, among many others (spices ****, dried etc.) that agglomerates in this way.

Hello, I'm sorry I used the wrong product, it was the "Knorr Aromat nat. sans glutamate" that I use, so the same aroma but without glutamate.
But apparently they both have the same problem, i.e. a tendency to clump together quickly (even more quickly for the glutamate-free version, according to the comments...).
Is there a solution in both cases?

ohjeh.....I fell for it again; that's the price you have to pay as a visually impaired person. Although I could make out the "2.50" on the frame with difficulty, I couldn't see the small print (from 2). These and similar "promotions" are and always will be a BIG annoyance for me......

Hello Martin52, we are sorry that you were unable to benefit from our campaign. Your tip has been placed with our specialist department. We are currently working on the issue. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Guest

would be nice if Aromat were also available lactose-free.

Guest

The Mirador - although not quite the same - is lactose-free, I believe.

It is "lactovegetable"!

Guest

@Istanbul: "Lactovegetable" only means that a food does not contain eggs. Ovo-vegetable would mean that it does not contain any milk components (which includes lactose as milk sugar). Lactose is also included in the list of ingredients of Aromat.

@Gast,
i.e. ingredients that are purely plant-based ("vegetable") or consist of milk components ("lacto")!
Thank you!

Dear guest

Thank you very much for your suggestion.

The issue of lactose intolerance is playing an increasingly important role. We try to meet the needs of as many customers as possible when testing our product range, especially those with allergies.

We have forwarded your idea to our specialist department for consideration. Unfortunately, we cannot promise you that this will be implemented.

Thank you for your understanding and see you soon in your Migros.

Kind regards from the M-Infoline team
